5.0 out of 5 stars Lot's of fun!, November 19, 1998

My 3 year old loves this book, and so does the whole family. The pop-ups are fantastic, the story distasteful enough to keep a kid riveted, but not offensive, and I am suprised it hasn't worn out from all the readings it gets.

4.0 out of 5 stars Delicious!, April 13, 2005
This review is from: Sam's Snack (Paperback)
We have read this book to all four of our boys so many times it is barely hanging together! The premise is Sam's sister gets even with Sam for making her a bug filled sandwich in Sam's Sandwich. by making Sam a seaside equivalent. It is especially entertaining to the 5-7 year olds. The pop ups are very cleverly engineered (especially the lobster), and the drawings are super-real, which adds to the gross out factor. I liked Sam's Sandwich a little better, because it is a little easier for the kids to understand, but this one is still a keeper.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sam's snack Rocks!, November 30, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Sam's Snack (Paperback)
I bought this book at a used book store and it's so great! I LOVE All of the Sam books. They're suposed to be for little kids, but I love 'em anyway! I love this one's pop-ups, the clever rhymes, and the nasty stuff Samantha puts in Sam's food. Like sand in the salt shaker, tar in the those little vanila creme sandwhiches, and jellyfish in the apple pie. Plus Sam has a little suprise for Samantha. ;-)
