Review

Harken back to an era when men were men, woman were treacherous, metal was the law and Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickenson was still known as Samson's Bruce Bruce! Rarely seen stateside, this classic video combines the powerful performances of NWOBHM pioneers Samson with a theatrical portrayal of the epic tale of Samson, the biblical figure that is the band's namesake. Filmed at London's legendary Rainbow Theatre in 1980, this action-packed slice of rock history is now available for the first time on DVD with a few surprises added. An absolute must own for any fans of true metal, Maiden or hard rock nostalgia!

Harken back to an era when men were men, women were treacherous, metal was the law and Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson was still known as Samson's Bruce Bruce! Rarely seen stateside, this classic video combines the powerful performances of NWOBHM pioneers Samson with the epic tale of the band's namesake, Samson theatrically portrayed as only those vintage early '80s heavy metal movies could. Damn that Delilah!

Filmed at London's legendary Rainbow Theatre in 1980, this action-packed slice of rock history is now available for the first time on DVD with a few surprises added. An absolute must own for any fans of true metal, Maiden or hard rock nostalgia. Even the most diehard head bangers & earthdogs likely haven't witnessed the power of Biceps Of Steel. It's ok; we won't tell your friends what a poser you are. But be quick, don the denim & spikes & pick up this mysterious lost masterpiece. Once it's in your collection, life will just feel more complete! And for chissake, don't let anyone cut your hair! --Cleopatra Records

1.0 out of 5 stars awful and only 15 minutes long, June 11, 2004

This review is from: Samson: Biceps of Steel (DVD)
Only get this if you must have everything Iron Maiden or Bruce Dickinson. This only contains 2 songs tied together with the Samson plot. Think of the biblical Samson as a roadie for a metal band ! The plot is this, Samson the roadie unpacks the bands stuff , he watches the stage as they play, he defends the band from some thugs, the girl seduces him and cuts off his hair, during the 2nd song he pushes over the 2 stacks of speakers on the bad guys..that's it. I'm surprised Bruce hasn't had all copies of this burned!! If you put duct tape over the hole on the DVD it makes an ok coaster
