This is a USB mic. It plugs directly into the USB jack of the computer, thus bypassing the need for an audio interface mixer. That said this is a quality mic with good sound . The ease of use is it's best selling point. As long as you don't need to mix two mic inputs this does the job and can save you money. If you're just getting into podcasting I highly recommend this samson mic.

I luv it.. It's easy "plug in and play". I didn't even read any manuals, but, well it depend on whether you know a little about computers, because, i had to set it as my default Mic and enhance the volume under my audio settings.. I'm using a Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit btw.. And it works great in Cool Edit Pro(Adobe Audition).. I'mma use it for rapping..

Don't let the price fool you. This mic has performed extremely well on all recordings. It can easily compare with pro quality microphones that you would only find in a recording artist locker. Easy setup and integration into our home studio. No drivers means no hassle. I would buy this again. Clean & crisp vocal recordings makes it easier to edit when you get down to the wave form level. A+

I bought this mic for my neice it was delivered efficiently and she says it is working out great. She uses it all the time posting videos on You Tube. No complaints about the seller, professional.

I like this mic. Have not had a lot to compare it with, but it works easily and well for my very modest needs.
I only record mono voice.

Well I got the microphone and did exactly what the directions said. It said I didnt need no additional products for use. Turns out I need to buy a Sound Card in order to use my mic. I think the company should have been a little more specific on which laptops and Windows program it works best on! I have windows vista and everything is installed correctly but when i plug in the mic I get no sound! If you want to give yourself a headache with this product by all means go for it as for me I'm disappointed and I'm returning the product immediately

I got the mic from Amazon because it was the best price anywhere on the internet. Excited when it came, I later came to find out it was not compatible with my laptop because the soundcard did not support it. I returned the item, simple as that.
