The Md-5 is very sturdy so you can trust that even very expensive microphones won't take a tumble. I particularly like to use it with my microphone VO: 1-A Harlan Hogan Signature Series Microphone inside the Porta-Booth - Portable Sound Studio because it's considerable weight compresses the foam on the bottom of the booth ensuring the mic is stable.

Bought this for my Audio Technica AT2020 USB. Screws right on and fits nice and tight. The sturdy weight keeps the mic stable on my desktop. My Nady MPF-6 pop filter clamps on beautifully and my voice over setup is starting to shape up.

I ordered this Samson MD5 mic stand for my Samson shock mount and Audio Technica AT2020USB mic. The base of the stand is plenty heavy enough for the shock mount and mic, and I'm very pleased with its quality.

Works just like it says. Heavy with a wide base holds my Yeti Mic and Shockmount, along with my blue pop filter easily. Great purchase.

This is a GREAT stand for a large variety of condenser mic. It feels very sturdy and it is heavy, so it won't move around or anything, a little overprice but not too much. If you don't mind paying the price, go for it. Gave 4 stars cuz of the price

I bought this to use a a desktop stand for my Blue Yeti, with the Blue Radius Shock Mount and Blue Pop filter. My other desk stands, would tip, this one does not. First of all it is heavy, second it has a very wide profile, giving it, a larger center of gravity. A feature I really like is the complete ring of wide, thick, rubber on the base which acts as sound isolation and a great anti scratch pad for furniture. Highly recommended over other desk stands I've used over the years and you can't beat the price!

I absolutely am 100% happy with this mic stand. The base is really nice and heavy with a continuous foam strip on the underside that keeps the stand stable. I was able to put a Samson shock mount on this stand without it's height being an issue. This stand is worth the added cost over other stands. If the height works, you will NOT be disappointed.

I don't know what else I can say it's strictly a desktop microphone stand. The base of it is really heavy so it will take a lot to knock over your microphone and I would recommend it to anyone

It really is short with no built in ability to extend. For desk interviews you have to hunch way over. Pay more for the extra few inches!
