It works, and it works well. It will be bigger than you expect (or at least was for me) but it doesn't really affect sound quality. I use this for shooting outside with my mic hooked up to a laptop, and it eliminates that annoying rumble from the wind.
Fits snug, and for the amount I paid I wouldn't care if it disintegrated spontaneously and I had to buy another one in a year's time.
