Just received Samsonite Solana 24" bag from Amazon. Price is very good from Amazon compare to other retailers. Design of the bag is quite sleek due to tapered top edges. I ordered this Spinner bag thinking that it will be easier to carry around. The quality and the construction of the bag is very high quality. 24" is just about right size I was looking for. This bag's design makes this bag look smaller/slimmer then other bags in similar sizes. Yes, it is nice to roll this bag with 4 wheels on the "smooth" surfaces. However, those wheels are small. When you have to go over some bumps, rough surface, or steps, those small wheel don't work well - when you carry this bag in two wheels, they are not as good as the two wheeled bags with larger wheels. Also, be aware that this bag is quite heavy on the bottom (I guess from 4 wheel construction. I would have return this bag but I am keeping it since my trip is only few days away.

My wife and I bought this Spinner in a trip to New York, we needed one to bring all the stuff we bought. We had a lot to choose from and we found the Solana very attractive and well designed. We used it in several trips around the world and still works as new. The extra space you gain when you make it expand it's really useful and another thing we liked a lot is that we always expand it and put everything we can, and it's always in the weight limit of the airlines. The wheels are great, it can be completely loaded and you still can control it with one hand and even play with it. I'm planning to buy another one already, but smaller for short trips.

There's some pros to this luggage - the spinners are great and easy to get around. I felt the handles were a bit short, but still manageable. But here's the biggest issues I faced:

After 1 international and 2 domestic flights, both handles (top and side) fell apart. I don't carry more than what's allowed by the airlines. On last flight, both handles broke off. So I figure after the trip, I would contact Samsonite since it's still well within the warranty. Well, sort of. They said I have to take it to nearest repair center - over 150 miles away. Nope, can't send it in and there's none where I live (and I live in a big metropolitan city). Essentially, I have to spend 2 hours of my life driving to get this thing looked at (they won't guarantee they'll fix it since they have to look and determine). So the warranty is practically useless.

I think i'll think twice before buying any Samsonite products. And I'll definitely tell my friends about the experience too.

This is the perfect size for vacation travel. Since there is a $100 fee for bags over 50 pounds, this bag is a good choice since it hold that much. The expandability is very useful for bringing back souvenirs and purchases on the way back from vacation. The spinner wheels are fabulous, so easy to move! The color is upscale looking. It comes with the matching cosmetic bag inside. A great bag for travel! The only negative is that they discontinued the garment bag so I can't get a full set.

I've bought this suitcase last year and it has survived two international flights and one domestic with minor injuries.

It's a great 50lbs size bag and really easy to get around with it -- got some jealousy looks at the airports so far :)

I have only used it twice, but I love it. Performs well - wheels work great even when fully packed. I bought the 24" and I will also purchase the larger one. Name tag placement is strange, but hardly matters these days - I attached my own to the handle. WELL worth the price

Excellent size and low weight. Just returned from 2 weeks in Europe. I don't expect a long life from the suitcase. Collected dirt and suff makes easily. Spinners worked very well.
