5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific Litigation Case
As a litigator I have tried 4 different litigation bags and briefcases to transport binders and files to depositions and hearings. Inevitably the binders do not fit, and I either have to bend the top of my case to close it, leave it open altogether, or simply use a banker box.

This case is extremely room -- enough to hold 2 jumbo binders and 3 or 4 medium...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice bag, but not terribly functional
I've needed a rolling suitcase like this for court for a long time. I wanted to get the right one and I think the size is great. The quality is also nice and it looks very great, like the picture. Here are the downsides though. The biggest problem is that the bag is not weighted properly. The laptop case is in the front next to the pocket with the flap. The...

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific Litigation Case, June 30, 2005

This review is from: Samsonite Business Rolling Laptop Case
As a litigator I have tried 4 different litigation bags and briefcases to transport binders and files to depositions and hearings. Inevitably the binders do not fit, and I either have to bend the top of my case to close it, leave it open altogether, or simply use a banker box.

This case is extremely room -- enough to hold 2 jumbo binders and 3 or 4 medium binders. It is tall enough to lock closed with the binders inside. Also, never again shall I suffer blisters while lugging my litigation case hurriedly through an airport trying to catch a flight. This thing has wheels, and an unusually sturdy pull handle. It also has optional padding to hold a notebook computer securely.

I recommend this case fully.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality at very reasonable price., July 19, 2006
I am using the bag as a pilot case, loading it with around 30 lbs. of charts and manuals. Fits nicely in the cockpit and seems well made. The handle and wheels are of much better quality than the cheap office store models. With the Samsonite warranty you can't go wrong. Any Samsonite bag I have had has always done well and when needed any repairs have been free. I would definitely recommend this case.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good rolling computer case, October 26, 2007
I bought this case because, like the previous computer case I had, most of the space is accessible by simply opening one set of locks. To get your computer set up you don't have to unzip multiple compartments to get access to your different components, they are all there in one large compartment.
It rolls easily, has a good handle, and does have one external compartment for papers, pens, etc.
The only thing I don't like about it is that instead of having one or two accordion pleated file folders opposite the laptop pouch, is has a couple of removable brackets that hold up regular hanging file folders. The brackets are always popping out of the holders and the file folders falling off the brackets when I load and unload laptop accessories. It would have been a good idea if they had just designed simple retainers to keep the brackets from popping out and to keep the file folders from falling off the brackets. But since I use the case mainly as a laptop case and don't carry a lot of papers, this isn't that big of a deal to me.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice bag, but not terribly functional, January 25, 2011

I've needed a rolling suitcase like this for court for a long time. I wanted to get the right one and I think the size is great. The quality is also nice and it looks very great, like the picture. Here are the downsides though. The biggest problem is that the bag is not weighted properly. The laptop case is in the front next to the pocket with the flap. The structural frame on the bottom with the wheels favors the back of the case near the retractable handle. So, this means that if you have things in the pocket and put your laptop in the padded section near the front, the bag flops to the ground. I only have a few empty folders and a pen in the pocket and the bag is constantly flopping and slamming into the cement sidewalk if I let go of the handle! This really poor design! They should have either put the laptop section near the back, near the middle, or positioned the bottom frame/wheels so it would stand up on its own. The other problem which is relatively minor is that there isn't a single place to put a hang tag or luggage tag! I want to distinguish my bag from others and any potential place is a moving part so you can't hang a tag. Please add something! I'm going to use it until it dies, but I would not buy it again unless they balanced it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great rolling bag!, December 28, 2008

This review is from: Samsonite Business Rolling Laptop Case
This is a wonderful bag! Its interior is quite spacious permitting me to easily fit an amazing number of items in it. It you don't need the hanging file frames, they can be removed giving easier access to the interior of the main compartment. My only disappointment is that the telescoping handle seems flimsy in comparison to the solid construction of the case itself. This handle also seems a bit too long to me--perhaps it is proportioned for someone taller than 5'4". I use the bag daily and overall, I am very pleased with it. It has certainly relieved stress on my shoulders and back from previous over-the-shoulder bags and backpacks I've used.

Our attorneys love these bags for their durability, their easy rolling qualities and their intuitive layout. We've switched entirely to this line of bags at our firm.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it., April 29, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased the Samsonite Rolling Laptop Case after lugging around a traditional computer bag and another large bag. I have a home office and need to "take my office with me" often. I needed something with wheels that locked and could hold numerous files as well as my laptop. This case is large and fits everything I need. It is heavy to pick up when filled and a bit akward for me to carry (but I'm short and weigh about 110.) It beats carrying everything. It rolls nicely and, so far, it is holding up well. I would definitely recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Reliable case at a good price, June 7, 2009
This review is from: Samsonite Business Rolling Laptop Case
I bought this case after I got tired of all the problems my US Luggage rolling case gave me. Samsonite's product has none of the problems that the US Luggage case had.
The wheels are reliable. They don't get stuck.
The case is sturdy.
The pockets and pen holders are logically placed.

This is a good buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Generally happy, July 3, 2008
I am an attorney and I purchased this bag to cart my files and laptop to appearances. I am generally very happy with the bag and felt it was a good deal. I can carry files and still have a cushioned pocket for my laptop. My only complaint is that due to the position of the handle, I cannot keep one of the flaps open without holding it, which makes removing a large file somewhat difficult. Not a big problem so I would still recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for law students, January 24, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have ordered this bag due to the tremendous load I have to carry to school everyday. The bag is exactly as described and everything is perfect for me as a student. The dual combination lock is professional and a good touch to the rolling case. I can put two 1000pgs textbooks and two 500pgs statute books with room to spare for my iPad in the padded laptop compartment. Also, that leaves me with plenty of space for my purse, pencil case, water bottle and a cardigan beside the books in the bag. The front compartment is currently underutilized in my case as I have adequate space for all my stuff in the bag. However, it will be useful for others who have files to slot in the front. Also, this rolling case is at least 50% lighter than other similar bags and the huge functional wheels makes travelling a breeze. One thing to note is that the handle system is flimsy and not as sturdy as the many other rolling case that I have tried in the shopping malls(Samsonite or not). So be expected to compromise on that, if not, you can look for other alternatives. For me, this product is more than value for money and I have nothing to complain. I have never wrote a review but I have thankful for those who have written one to help me make a more informed decision and I hope this will be of help to prospective buyers.
