I'm a mobile business man and pretty much look like I'm packed for a vacation every time I leave for work. I need a pack that slings over my shoulder because I'm just carrying so many things to work. that leaves out briefcases. Other portfolio cases can actually be pretty heavy when you are trying to move light.

Yet, many light cases are flimsy, with zippers that go bad quickly. This Samsonite is very light weight and has more compartments than I know what to do with. The zippers have proved to be reliable. The stitching stays together even though I have stuffed it sometimes.

Sometimes I drag it, throw it in the truck, stuff it, drop it. My computer doesn't seem notice. The contents does not fall out. It just goes along.

For the lightweight models, and I mean Targus, and the likes, this one is really nice.

I have a Dell XPS15 and this bag is a perfect fit. At about 2 pounds is not to heavy and provides a decent level of cushion, about 1/4inch all the way around. There is enough space in this bag to carry the charger, mouse, a book or two and a seemingly endless number of cables I use.
The top loading feature makes it almost impossible for things to fall out if the zippers are not closed completely. Even though the second gusset zipper goes 3/4 of the way around the bag there are flap to prevent small items from being lost as yo uhurry through an airport.

Samsonite Xenon Laptop Portfolio Black

Very nice and stylish! padded interior pockets for the laptop, power supplies, cords, and mouse. Has the added convenience of a seperate zippered section for the storage of important documents or other papers. This bag is well designed and bears the name of Samosonite; a leader in the industry!

Purchased this bag approximately 4 months ago to make the switch from student to working professional. I love the bag, plenty of different pockets to store various things. This is great for work or school.

This bag is roomy and can store a lot of stuff. The bad thing about this bag is that I dropped it twice due to the strap disconnecting from the loop hole. I think the hooks on the strap were designed poorly. It is a thick hook but can get caught on the loop and unhook itself. Fortunately my laptop did not break. Either need the strap replaced or be more cautious when picking up your bag. I would not expect this from Samsonite and definitely not satisfied.

I purchased this bag over a year ago, and it has served its purpose well. I have used it for multiple purposes, from hauling stacks of papers, to carrying a laptop to/from work, and as my carry-on on several flights. The bag still looks new, the stitching is not fraying or coming loose anywhere, and all straps/handles/pockets are in tact as when I first received the bag.

I have used this bag for carrying both a 13" MacBook Pro and a 13" Dell, it has held them both very well. Between the Dell in the laptop compartment, and stacks of papers in the other, I have had almost 20 pounds loaded into this bag for weeks and months at a time (the Dell is heavy for a 13"). Again, the bag has put up with all of the abuse (sometimes being left in the back seat of my car for weeks in the hot Florida sun), and it still looks great.

Speaking of looks, for the price, this is a sharp, professional looking bag. I have carried it with me for business meetings, interviews, and business trips, and I never feel 'cheap' carrying it. It is simple yet flexible.

As for storage options, I have found this bag to meet all needs for carrying different items. I have stuffed it full of items for a single-day round trip flight (laptop, portfolio, magazines, large headphones, cell phone, pens/markers, snacks/gum, deodorant, etc.) and it kept everything in-place and organized, and I always knew where to find a particular item because you have plenty of options when it comes to pockets and pouches within the bag.

Overall, this is an excellent bag, and if I do ever manage to destroy it, I will quickly come back here to order another!

The Samsonite Classic Two Gusset 15.6" Toploader laptop bag is a great bag overall, but those looking for a bag with 'extra padding' as I was may want to stay away from it for that reason alone...If extra padding is not your concern, you definitely picked a winner here...

The zippers open and close easy...Ever had a bag where the zippers just seemed cheap, flimsy and ended up breaking on you later on?...This bag's zippers are top-quality...

The materials used around the bag are top-notch as well; the feel of the bag is nice and clean...The storage pockets around the bag look as though they would be difficult to get into (because they are 'top-load'), but in fact, they are very roomy and you can easily see everything in them...

I have a 15.6" Dell XPS and the laptop fits perfectly in the case...

Again, the ONLY gripe I had was that it wasn't 'padded' enough...I want to know that if my bag was to drop while my laptop was in it that this would protect it a bit more with extra padding - not the case with this bag; it feels as though one drop would do some damage to your laptop...

Either way, that aside, I do love it, I just hope I don't ever drop it : )

Samsonite has made a versatile product which works equally well as laptop or attache case. My laptop has a 17-inch screen and fit comfortably along with a bag of lunch, folder, writing utensils, and keys. It's ideal for an office environment, but can function as an alternative backpack or carry on luggage. There is a removable shoulder strap, three side pockets, and two main compartments. Since getting this as a present three months ago, I've received numerous compliments on the case. The material is durable and expected to last several years of heavy use.

This is an OK bag, but I would have expected more from Samsonite. Pretty much every bag and suitcase I have purchased in the past 15 years has been Samsonite, but I guess they've slipped in quality lately. The bag is not terrible, but the quality is somewhat lacking. There is something inside the lining of the bag that makes it sound like there is an empty potato-chip bag inside. Also, I got one with shoddy stitching which I sent back for a replacement, but the replacement had the same noisy lining. This is really annoying and makes it feel cheap. Given this experience I will not buy another Samsonite laptop bag and I can't in good conscience recommend this bag to others.

As a college student, I wanted a bag that looked professional but did not break the bank. Something sturdy that could hold necessary school supplies and still look fashionable.

This bag from Samsonite fit all my needs and I would believe would be great for, not just students, but anyone looking for a computer bag.

The only con that I have is that it started SQUEAKING which is very odd. It is coming from where the shoulder straps are attached to the bag. It can get annoying after a while.
