This is a very nice looking bag with good functionality at a reasonable price. It has a special padded pocket to hold a laptop securely and still has plenty of room for lots of papers and small items. It is expandable, but I find that it gets a big heavy if its filled so much that it needs expanding. It doesn't come with a matching luggage tag which is unfortunate, and could benefit from a small pocket on the outside to hold pens, but otherwise is a great softsided bag. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.

I carry a portfolio to work every day, and on many trips. I stuff it with papers, laptop, pens, everything I need to be productive, anywhere. This portfolio is the best I've had, for these reasons and more:

1. Soft leather: I need it to fit where I shove it, and bounce against me when I walk with shoulder strap on, and this leather bag fits the bill. It's comfortable, and I get compliments from fellow travelers who ask where I got it. My first one came from Sam's Warehouse, but that was a one-time sale as far as I can tell (at $39, it was a super-bargain, never seen it at that price since). I still have that first one, but the strap latch finally gave way (I often pack WAY too much stuff in) and though I found a replacement strap my wife felt it was time to get a new one.

2. Laptop compartment: padded just the right amount. It's easy to get the device in & out (e.g. in airport security) but it's protected in the central compartment.

3. Lots of pockets: I have tons of things to organize, e.g. laptop charger & European electrical adapter, toiletries, earphones, pens, reading glasses, etc etc. Plus, the separate full-length compartment has 3 divided sections for different-priority papers. The thin pockets on front and back tuck my passport, boarding passes, etc in a place I can always find them but they're out of the way otherwise.

4. Luggage attachment strap on the back: this has made me the envy of many fellow travelers. You don't realize it's there because of a Velcro patch, but then I separate it and put it over the handle of my roller-board bag, and I get a free arm in the airport. Fantastic.

I hope I can keep finding these, but will always be on the lookout for the lowest price.

This bag has more than adequate storage for my 15" Macbook Pro and accessories. There is a piggyback strap so I can attach this case to the handle of my rolling carry on. Good looks and great storage add up to a really great bad.

I bought this Samsonite leather business case after owning a similar one, so this is my second Samsonite leather case.

My first one was a black leather Samsonite 923800, which is very similar to this one, except it is black leather, a little wider, and not expandible like this one is. I have been using it for my computer case and love, love, love it. I love it so much that I decided to get another one to replace my backpack - I use a backpack everyday to carry my day-planner and other stuff to and from work. I use both the backpack and computer case when I travel.

I found this brown leather Samsonite on Amazon for a great price, much less than the black one I already owned, so I bought it to replace my backpack for everyday use. I love this one just as much as the black one. Some notes about this one:

- the brown leather is super nice, soft fine grained leather, should look better with use/age and be durable (it even smells great)

- the double stitching looks great and should make it very durable for a long time

- handles, strap, zippers are all top notch stuff

- the padded computer section can fit my 15.4" screen Dell Inspiron. It's somewhat snug, but it will fit and be protected. The black model 923800 has a slightly looser computer compartment because the bag is wider, so I will keep the black one as my computer bag and this brown one as my everyday work commute bag

- I like that it is expandable. Sometimes for work trips, I will take both a business laptop and my personal Dell laptop. I will unzip the expandable zipper on this brown bag and put my work laptop in the computer section and put my day planner and work documents in the expandable section

- The strap on the back of the case is perfect for putting the case on top of a rolling luggage bag - the luggage bag's handle fits between the strap and the bag, so the bag can't fall off. The strap has velcro to stick it's middle to the bag when not in use

- The brown leather looks awesome

This is a great product, and the price makes it a steal. I think both this one and the black one may have been discontinued by Samsonite (?) - I did a search on the Samsonite general website and didn't find either. I love mine and was glad to find it.
