I was really impressed that this bag has so many nicely padded compartments and organization folders. It is a HUGE portfolio bag. I was actually able to fit my 17" thick alienware laptop into this bag, along with my smaller netbook, and still I had room for textbooks, notepads and all my gadgets.

If you think the leather looks nice in this picture, it is incredible in person. This is the kind of portfolio that will last for ages, and this price is ultimately unbeatable. The strap is adjustable but it is relatively long at it's shortest length, so expect to be wearing it across your chest instead of over one shoulder.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a stylish answer to their cluttered schoolbag. I have been scouring the internet for a better bag for the price and I have yet to find anything that comes close.

We were looking for a laptop case for our daughter for her to carry to college. This one is perfect. The leather is beautiful and thick. A lot of the cases we looked at (and we looked at a lot!) had cheap thin leather - not this one. We wanted one that would stand the test of time and one that she would be able to carry into her adult career life after graduating from college. This one is perfect and being made of "bomber jacket" leather will become a classic - improving with age as the leather patinas and develops character. Holds her 15" laptop perfectly. The padding inside is thick and well made also. We were very impressed when we saw it and our daughter loves it.

This bag is awesome, with enough room for everything...only down fall is it is a bit heavy to start with, but very durable and easy to get to everything. Also with the flap around the handle you don't always have to zip up to keep everything in.

Bought this for my husband for his birthday. He loves it. Doesn't look like a "man purse" and has plenty of pockets for the stuff he carries to work.

The bag is made of high quality materials. It seems like it will last for years. It has a ton of space and many compartments. Has a great durable strap. Definitely worth the money. The only problem I had with the bag was it wasn't the color I was looking for. In the picture its baseball glove brown but in person its more of a dark coffee bean brown. Either way I was giving it as a gift and the recipient loved it so I have no complaints. Just thought that other would like to know that it is MUCH darker than depicted.

I was happy when the portfolio first arrived. It looked nice, seemed to be of good quality and held my laptop, some files, and a textbook easily.

After using daily for 3-4 weeks I've noticed a 1 inch tear in the seam binding the zipper to the leather near one of the shoulder strap mounts. After inspecting, I see that the area is not reinforced very well for such a high stress area. If I had purchased directly from Amazon I would return, but since this is from a 3rd party vendor (through Amazon) I'm probably better off taking my chances with the warranty.

If the 3-year warranty is upheld without much hassle (and if the replacement/repaired portfolio lasts more than a month) I will update my feedback.

A tolerable bag for $90 USD. If it didn't say Samsonite, it would probably sell for $50. Some office supply stores carry this "portfolio" for $140.

The portfolio arrived within 7 days of the invoice date in excellent condition and new as advertised by E-Bags; there are plenty of compartments, all pieces and parts function well and seem in good order, and the packaging was fitted well. The bag's aesthetic may be either a nicer version of a casual leather carrier or an entry-level business sack. When the portfolio is filled it looks like a hefty 5-inch (12.7 cm) attache or a squat messenger bag. The function is great!

Product is made in China by a Samsonite licensee (Heritage Travelware). The leather is soft, scratches easily, and will discolor with heat; the tanning odor diffuses within a few hours. The tanning shade is a dark chestnut, deep tobacco, or blackened cordovan color. When in use, the carrying handle feels firm, though 15 pounds (6.8 kg) may be its upper bound. When opening the flap over, tug gently after popping the fasteners as the stitching on the straps is thin.

Overall, this seems like a decent bag for work, school, or crafts. I'll be keeping mine and utilizing it for general purposes, often. For "finer" leather business bags at decent prices, I've used Cenzo.

Bought this for my boyfriend before he had a job interview. Looks good on him, not too thick, not too slim. A sturdy bag suits well a 6'3" man. He really looks like Jim in "the Office" now!!LOL

When I received this portfolio I was really excited, it is one of the nicest I have ever seen and the leather is really nice quality. I have been using the portfolio for about month and just this week I was very disappointed when as I walk down the street the shoulder strap came apart. I admit that I do carry larger law books at times but I really expected a portfolio of this quality to have a better strap. There is no way to repair the strap because the metal portion of the clip broke. The portfolio itself is great and I have gotten lots of compliments on how nice it is. I haven't contacted Samsonite yet but plan to and hope they will replace the strap. I would give this portfolio five stars without a doubt if the strap had not broken.

As an update, I contacted the portfolio maker and they sent me a new strap within days with no issues. I love this leather portfolio and I get lots of great comments when I'm carrying it.

it looks nice in the pictures, but it looks AMAZING when you have it in your hands. the color is perfect, matches everything, it has this cool vintage look. It's huge, and with all this cool & useful compartments, my dad is very happy with this bag. Excellent desicion.
