I was wondering why no one ever bothered reviewing this product just about ANYWHERE. I usually Google reviews for products before any purchase but I couldn't find any for any of the Samsonite Fieros. I bought it anyway and I don't regret it.

This is the first hard-case luggage I have ever owned and simply put, it's durable. I went on an International flight recently (waited 'til my arrival before reviewing), 1 domestic stop and 2 international ones, and this hard-case luggage help up quite nicely in the end. It's not entirely scratch-resistant as it claims to be but the gashes it took upon transfers form port to port doesn't make the hard-case look bad at all. In fact, you can hardly tell its there. Which is good.

I may update the review if anything else happens to it in future use. But for now, I give it 5 stars!

I love this piece of luggage!! I have used it for two trips so far and waited to see if I really continued to like it so much. First, the size - it's just one size larger than a carryon but still easy to handle like the smaller carryon size. Also light weight and even when it's filled easy to handle especially with the great spinner wheels. Then inside- so easy to pack and repack.. Love the see through zippered compartment, the garment strap also leaves plenty of room for hanging garments to be added after putting in folded garments. I have had many large and small pieces of luggage and this one is the best by far! Love it!

Even though I didn't find Samsonite Fieros on the official website, I still bought it and it worked well during my international flight. I like the surface of the case. Even if being scratched it doesn't show the track that obviously. The sky blue color is very nice, suitable for the young and the old. The wheels are of high quality. I used the case after the heavy snow (u know, many salt pellets on the ground) but the wheels stand strong enough. Light and big space. I would say I love it!

We did not intend to buy this as we wanted to more from the Samsonit Winfield collection to match our existing suitcases. However, our older version of the Winfield was no longer in stock. I'm so happy that we decided to go with this Fiero. The polycarbonate design makes it feel extremely light. The 'Micro diamond texture' is extremely effective in resisting scratches. We like it so much that we just bought the larger version of it and will be getting the smaller case giving us a complete set. I make many overseas trips each year. My bags are always extremely full when I return from home visits to the US. We bought this bag over a year ago. It has made several trips across the Atlantic and still seems brand new. I have to say that in my 25+ years of international travels this Samsonite Fiero HS is likely the best suitcase I have ever owned.

This is a good suitcase. I took it on a trip to Germany. It took a beating and survived it. Those brick streets and side walks are murder on the wheels. I also dragged that suitcase over rail road tracks and the wheels held up. Man that's hard on the wheels. I think its best to use all 4 wheels to spread the load out on the wheels so they don't break as easy. I have read some people have broke there wheels. I also took it on a trip to Arizona and it did fine.

Pros:

The outside is made of 100% polycarbonate. This material did not scratch at all. I was surprised .

It expands 2 more inches if you don't have enough room. You just unzip a zipper and it makes it 2 inches bigger. I went too Germany 11 days and I had enough room for cloths. It was tight . I'm a male so maybe I don't have as many cloths as some people. My suitcase weighed 35 lbs on my trip to Germany. It was packed full.

The suitcase folds in 2 pieces. I love this feature. You don't have to dig as deep down into a suitcase to get the cloths you want.

Has 4 wheels that roll excellent. The handle extends out to help drag it around. It rolls perfectly in the airports.

Suitcase is 24x171/2x10.75 with out the wheels. With the wheels its 26 1/2 x 17.5 x 10.75. weighs 10.8 lbs. The suitcase without the wheels is 52.3 linear. With the wheels its 54.3 linear. I have read on the internet the TSA wants the wheels included on there measurements. I have read on the internet the airlines allows 62 linear or you pay extra charges. So this suitcase is safe for no extra oversize charges.

Zipper works very good

Good price . I only paid $143.99 on 7/9/2014

Cons:

I wish Samsonite would sell a 26 inch suitcase. They don't sell a 26 inch. The 24 inch is just barley bid enough for a 11 or 12 day trip. The next size up is a 28 inch. With the wheels included that suitcase will be subject to a oversized charge. I believe I'm correct on this. I spent allot of time researching how the TSA measures suitcases. They include the wheels. I think they are checking more for over sized luggage . You don't want too get stuck for that charge.

I bought this suitcase in blue for my husband (who travels three weeks a month) last fall, after two other Samsonite bags had been destroyed by the baggage handling system at Atlanta Airport--scratched, dented, scraped, and apparently dragged by (under?) a baggage cart. After six months, this bag still looks like new. Maybe we've just gotten lucky, but we've never been lucky for so long. I'm impressed by its sturdiness. It's also extremely lightweight, wheels easily, and expands. And the beautiful blue makes it easy to spot on the carousel.

I have a very large suitcase with wheels, but it was quite bulky and hard to keep upright when being pulled. This suitcase is light weight and very easy to maneuver. Glad I made the purchase.

Bought this suitcase for an overseas trip. The case is flexible and has very small wheels. A wheel (they are small) was broken on my homeward journey. Rather expensive case for one trip. I did not overload it. It was weighing 42 lbs. when I flew. A wheel was broken when I received it at the airport. It was rather expensive for one lasting only one trip.

Love how lightweight it is! Can stuff it and still weight less than $50. However, the suitcase always comes out from the baggage claim looking lopsided. The zipper has a lot of give so one half of it usually gets pushed into the other. Zipper hasn't broken yet but it doesn't look too sturdy unless it's packed in tightly.

Had purchased two of these suitcases earlier this year. Was looking for something not too large but not too small. Had a larger 26" Samsonite and I would pack until it was full and then I was always stressing about the 50 lb airline flight limit. This is small enough that when I pack, I am still comfortably under the airline limits so when I return from a trip if I have souvenirs I won't be stressing and moving things around. The suitcase is very durable. A couple of flights and cruises (they are harder on your luggage than airlines) and the suitcases still look great. Like the different color choices -- everyone in the family has a similar suitcase but their own color.
