I fly back and forth internationally and this piece is perfect. I use to always by TravelPro, but decided to try a new brand. I love it. The sphere2 is improved from what I hear (does not fall over on it's own when filled)The wheels glide easily and noticed the gel pad underneath the handle which makes pulling at an angle a breeze. I would hate to pull my last piece as my fingers would hurt if I had to go a long distance (MIA terminal to immigration). Fits perfect in the overhead- no fussing with door to make sure it closes (just don't let out the extension zipper and you should be set)

This suitcase was just as I expected it to be. Roomy, yet compact enough for carry on. Light. And the wheels are great. The ability to turn the bag sideways and roll it down the aisle of the plane makes a huge difference! And handles all the way around to help load it in the overhead compartment. Great bag!

Took this on a short trip to Newport RI. First time I had a suitcase large enough for my 4 day trip and small enough for a carryon. Very sturdy, lightweight, and easy to control. Ordered two more matching pieces for my next trip.

Welcome to the new terrible standard in luggage from Samsonite, as this is considered one of their higher end bags.

My first bag was used once to Europe and in the process, the entire back fabric ripped - all within 60 days of purchase. Samsonite gave me the usual runaround, "drive it to a repair center in another city." How about a free return tag? Then, I used the larger size matching bag in the set. Before using it, the interior mesh fabric ripped out. Both bags, destroyed! The second one didn't even make 1 flight before it ripped.

Samsonite will never get my money again and this garbage luggage set was a waste for me of almost $500. What a total joke and what a horrible customer service experience from Samsonite.

Please don't waste your hard earned money on Samsonite products. There are no standards for quality or service.

It is light weight and fits well in the overhead. It is spacious and the spinner wheels are great for maneuvering in tight places. I can fit enough clothes for one week easily in it. I highly recommend this luggage.

My wife recently bought the 21" Spinner. We had concerns that the luggage may be too fat for a carry-on. So we went to Sky Harbor Airport in PHX and tested it. Using the carry-on testers for each airline, the 21" Silhouette Spinner failed every test except for British Airways (which only flies a 747 to London from PHX). Southwest Air was iffy in that the 21" Spinner fit only if it was forced into the device (and the outside pockets were empty). My wife flies Air Canada a lot and the luggage didn't come close to fitting/qualifying as a carry-on. So we are returning the luggage and looking elsewhere. We are amazed that Samsonite would design a piece of luggage that appears to be a carry-on but does not pass the tests of most airlines.

I bought this spinner to replace my old 2 wheel spinner. This spinner features a more rounded design.
The new wheels are great on hard floors but they don't work as well on carpeted floors. Overall I'm very pleased with this suitcase.

At first I thought it was a little small, but there's actually just enough space. Great as a carry-on and a nice, sleek look. I would definitely recommend.

There a many good reviews here so I'll focus on some items that were important to me and I could not glean from reading the reviews. This review is based on using it for 2 different cross country trips
It rolls great on 4 wheels even when on rough surfaces such as asphalt and balance is not a problem when resting a 2nd smaller bag on top.
It also rolls well on 2 wheels when tilted forward. It also rolls straight this way (on 2 wheels) and doesn't wander side to side
It has only 1 pocket on top which is great because I want the volume in the case as I see the pockets not being that flexible to hold items and still fit in the plane overhead.
The case material is strong and the zippers easily manipulated even with an overfull case.
The side handle is made thinly to sit fairly flush and because of this it is not the most comfortable to use but for me and my infrequent use, e.g., maybe to retrieve from a bus rack, it was not a problem.
The handle when extended is very strong and can be used to lift the bag over steps without risk of snapped the handle.
Its a great case and easy to roll in 2 or 4 wheel style.

I purchased this suitcase for a recent trip to Europe. When I arrived at my destination one of the zippers was broken.
Samsonite's warranty requires that it be taken to an authorized Samsonite repair facility OR shipped to them for repair.
I live in Los Angeles and the closest authorized repair facility is over 25 miles away. I can't imagine how far someone in a
smaller city would have to drive. (The repair facility did at my request ship the repaired suitcase back to me several weeks later.)
I had a similar issue with my previous Samsonite suitcase that this replaced. That suitcase had a broken wheel that I thought it would
be covered under the 10 year warranty, but the service center deemed it wear and tear and wanted $80 to replace one wheel. This is
an attractive suitcase with many nice features. The wheels roll smoothly and the handle is comfortable, but read the warranty and you'll see that damage by baggage handlers and normal wear is excluded - making the warranty essentially useless.
