I was looking for a bag just for the laptop and power source--something I could bring to and from school along with my backpack full of books. This case seemed to be the answer-2.5 inches. When I got it, I knew there was no way that it was 2.5 inches...It is more like 5.5 inches ( I got out the ruler, I know. The 2.5 inches refers to the main chamer that holds the laptop. When you add the outer pockets, it bulks up. However, it is still a very nice, sleek looking bag and I am planning on keeping it. I would recommend it to anyone who basically needs a laptop holder for one of the chunky 15.4 inch Dells out there...it's really nice, comfortable case.

The case has a main compartment with a sleeve to insert the notebook. However, there is no space enough to put the notebook in the sleeve without scratching its bottom with the zipper around the case. The pockets for accessories aren't well planned. My suggestion: look for another case.

I have been using this bag for the past 1.5 years, its still good and better than all the other laptop cases I have seen around used by my friends. In an actual event, my friend accidently dropped the bag with laptop inside, my Dell Inspiron 8600 was intact and was preserved by the bag. The small pouch is handy in keeping the electrical adapter. The bag can also be placed on the extendable handle of the carry bag if you travel a lot. Small pockets on the side help in storing pen for handy. and the bag also looks elegant. Overall this is a fabulous bag to buy and to save your laptop in accidental drops.

This is a very good notebook case - it is has a thick padding so ur notebook would be safe. The borders and corners have enhanced protection . The inner pockets are plenty and specious. and samsonite is a nice brand.
Only disadvatage is the notebook compartment. It is top loading and good only if u have a 15" slick notebook like sony or lenovo. I have a 15.4" dell and every time I have tough time putting it in the compartment - it scratched against the chain and my dell fits in very tightly.
Buy only if u get in good deal. I got mine for $25.

I just bought this Samsonite Notebook case and it is well constructed. The price of this case is very reasonable. My laptop is a DELL Inspiron 5150 with a 14.5" diagonal screen size and appx. 13" across. It fits snuggly into the case. It has a good cushion of protection inside and nice curve bottom corners outside is protected as well. I think Samsonite did a nice job on this case. On the backside of the case there is a straight zipper pocket with an open slot behind it to slip your case onto your luggage carrier with a telescopic handle. I couldn't understand why the big slot opening but I figured it out. I tried it with my luggage carrier and it works! Actually it's a very clever added feature to this case. This is not a design flaw like some people may think. It has it's purpose. I gave it a 5 star rating because of the quality and design of the case. The best part of this case is that it is not big and bulky but just right for my laptop.

I use this bag to carry my HP NC6000 business notebook. I have received many complements on this bag.

It is a tad bit bulky when travelling, but it really does the job to protect. I don't have a laptop, I actually used it while travelling to protect my portable DVD player. It was big enough to hold that, a case full of DVD's, a couple paperback books, a coloring book, AND crayons. We had a 6 hour flight to Hawaii, and it was a saving grace to keep my 3 year old busy.

I bought this case for an Acer TravelMate 4220-4124 widescreen and it fit perfectly. Excellent price as well.

The bag is very nice looking, nice material, everybody loves it. Lots of compartments inside fit all accessories I need plus some documents. But the top part (the zipper) is a BIG problem, it just has to get 200% in a way, while the notebook pocket doesn't provide any flexibility. I just have to scratch my brand new notebook in and out, very frustrating. (same as another review here). My opinion, find another one, I'm gonna do it myself.

Well designed, well built laptop case. Fits widescreen laptops securely. Have two of them, would recommend.
