I purchased the Samsonite Traditional Expandable Leather Attachés in black as a gift for my husband from Amazon with free super-saver shipping. He says it is PERFECT and that he LOVES it! He wouldn't make a single change to it. His favorite part is that it is expandable! The other compliments he has for it are the many pocket organizers, comfort of the curved leather handle and the style. He uses about 3-4 times a week and has been leaving it in the cab of his truck during the Iowa winter. It is holding up great. I would purchase another one for a friend or family member without hesitation.

i'm happy with this Attache, it can fit my 17.3-Inch Laptop with big headphones and 3 or 4 small Western Digital passports + papers and even some clothes!

i only wish the materials of the locks, the outside and the inside were better quality (softer/thiner and more metal, velvet, leather like). but for the price 100$ this is decent. not that i'm saying its not good but this is only me. feels more like plastic and nylon especially the inside.

Just gave up my 25 year old attache case and purchased this one. I love it. The leather accents and the durability of this product has really impressed me. Lots of pockets/sleeves and pen/pencil holders and it expands if necessary. I did treat it with a leather conditioner as a precaution because of the harsh weather conditions it will see. A great product in my view.

I bought one Feb 2011 and have to send it in for warranty service less then a year later. To be fair, the unit looks great when you first get it. Once I started to use it the problems came up.

1) From day one the unit opened on any combination code. It just opens easier on the code you set. Why have a combination. I should have sent it back for this reason alone when I first got it but I already disposed of my old one and decided to live with the lax security.

2) The leather around the handle has completely worn away.

3) As of the writing of this review, one of the latches snapped in half.

I'll be sure to update this review after I experience the warranty procedure.

I purchased this briefcase mainly due to the Samsonite brand name expecting the quality that this brand stood for in the past. Unfortunately, I was very unimpressed with this briefcase. It has no metal piano-type hinge to hold the top and bottom portions together, having just a leather flap which was totally insufficient. Some of the interior covering also came completely off of the wood structure. My previous briefcase lasted over 15 years and this one did not last 15 days.

This briefcase looks very nice and is well made, but I'm disapointed that it does not expand as much as they make it look in the picture. The picture makes it look like it doubles in size .... in reality it only increases in size by about a half inch.

I ordered the Samsonite Traditional Attaches expandable Leather Attache because I have another one that I have had forever. I used it 5 days a week for 12 years and it finally met it's day, so I ordered another one. One of the buttons is broke, it won't go back or forth and once it is closed it won't open, unless you pop it open and that's not good, so I can't use it. It's not that I don't want it or don't like it but I would like to have one that will open without forcing it each time. I rate the item a five because it is a five, things happen. I wonudn't want any other. I would highly recommend this and only this expandable attache case as it will give you good service. This will not reflect my doing business with Amazon, as I've been ordering from them forever and they will take care of any problem that may occur.

I was surprised at how nice this brief case is for the price. It's got lots of room. I think it makes a nice impression when I meet with client. It just speaks that you are there to do business.

It's actually the first brief case I've ever owned. I wish I would have got one sooner. No more wrinkled papers for me. No more lost papers from the last meeting I went to buried somewhere I can't find. I just put them safely in my case.

It also is roomy enough to put my laptop into if need be, but it gets heavy with that in there. Anyway, what can I say. No problems that I can think of. I plan on taking care of this and making it last. Great value for the price. Doesn't look or feel cheap.

Item arrived much earlier and....what a beautiful briefcase! very pleased, husband loved it for his birthday

I bought an off brand Attache and it came apart very quickly. This one however looks very well made and really smells like leather. I am hopeful it will last a long time.
