I originally bought this umbrella at Target over a year ago. I loved it because it was light, skinny binny, and I could keep it in my small purse. Another great feature was that even though it was small, when opened up, it was a nice size. Also, it was strong enough to brace against the wind, as I never had any issues with it being blown out. So, when I accidentally left my umbrella at a restaurant, I was completely heartbroken (and couldn't find it again at Target). But I was thrilled that Amazon has it, and recently purchased another one. If you're looking for a durable mini umbrella (one you can carry in your purse), this is the one to buy.

Small and light, would fit in a small perse. One day it was very windy and my new umbrella did not break. I am pleased with the purchase.

This is a great size of umbrella. I bought one from my boss who travels alot. She said she loved the way it fits in her laptop bag without take up too much room (alot of travel umbrellas are too chuncky). She showed it to her elderly mother, who loved it so much that she gave me the money to buy her one also (bought at samsonite outlet). It slides in a purse easily too. I think I may need to buy one for myself. :-)

I read about this umbrella in Real Simple magazine. It was rated as one of the preferred umbrellas for its lightweight nature and sturdiness given its size/weight. However, the first time i used it, a gust of wind inverted it within seconds. I must confess that while this wind-inversion is a common occurrence, the frame is resilient enough to be manually restored to its proper form....but only until another gust of wind comes along. It is cute, light, and is handy fora drizzle or a light rain -- not a thunderstorm.

Based on the description I thought this umbrella would was auto open/close but it's not. Aside from that, it's very compact, light and has worked well so far.

While cute, I would not recommend this umbrella. It broke the first time I tried to use it. The lever that's supposed to keep it open won't pop out all the way, and I've tried to tinker with it to get it to stay out.

Comfortable, for those who doesn't like to carry a big and heavy umbrella. It can fit in a purse and is very light. Just no good for a very windy rain though, it will take it away. Otherwise is a good umbrella.

I bought this umbrella to keep in my backpack incase it rained or snowed while walking to school. It is real compact and lightweight. It comes with a cover which is a plus if you keep it in your bag or purse all the time. The only downside to an umbrella like this is that they are not as strong as a full size umbrella. The handle is also kind of small. I wish the handle were a bit longer or bigger around. Great umbreall if you need something you can carry with you all the time.

Great little umbrella. Compact enough to keep in my purse. When opened offers a good coverage. Not for strong wind though, but perfect for rainy days. Good buy.

So far I have not had a chance to really take this thing out in the rain to see how it performs, but I can give some notes about its build quality and size.

First off, this thing is tiny, tiny, tiny. I wanted a compact umbrella, but Im also an average size male. This thing will likely keep me dry in the emergency storms, but I may consider a larger umbrella for day to day.
Second, this umbrella is made from very thin gauge metal for the pole, it feels somewhat flimsy when extending and retracting. I wouldn't expect it to hold up to much wind. The handle is also very short and made of plastic.

I would recommend this umbrella as an emergency "keep in your car" model, but for day to day use during the rainy season, you should probably look at something more sturdy and a bit larger.
