Great colors, contrast and clarity.

The base and back is a nice white (a real Apple feel) and the clear plastic blue around the body and the stand are a nice touch that works well with the white.

I goes to 'sleep' in a few minutes, wakes up in less than 5 seconds and looks wonderful.

I have owned several monitors in my day, ranging from a 21" LCD Monitor, all the way to the apple thunderbolt display. I can honestly say that this is my favorite monitor thus far. Although the settings are wonky when it comes out of the box, a little tweaking will reveal what it is truly capable of. Deep blacks, saturated color pallet, and AMAZING quality. I feel like this is an upgrade from my $1000 thunderbolt display. It's very light, and looks great on my desk. Definitely would recommend.

Very contemporary design. Nice picture but not eye-popping. A good feature is that the screen has a surface that is not shiny and highly reflective. Very minimal connectivity - one each HDMI and VGA connectors.

pros:
if this rating were just for the display only, it would be a 5 hands down. the PLS panel displays deep, poppy and vibrant colors. the screen is very versatile and with a little tweaking can display 1080p about as good as you can see it. the glossy white fame is thin, attractive, and nice to look at while also keeping the focus on the screen. capacitive button give a nice feel to the over all design.

cons:
my first monitor came with a dead pixel, which lead me to return it and opt for the black one, which i ended up preferring more and kept instead. also for some reason the monitor comes with a vga port and no dvi port. i guess technically you only need the hdmi that's there, but i dont know why they wouldnt ditch the vga for dvi. i would have made use of the dvi since my hdmi out from my pc was already going to a tv, i had to purchase a dvi-hdmi cord in order to get hooked up to this monitor.
game mode doesn't really do much other than max out the brightness/contrast/sharpness. unfortunately the sharpness goes a little too far and distorts the image on some games. since theres no way to edit the settings for game mode either, you probably will just setup the monitor once when you get it and not use the game mode button ever. the stand was a little bit wobbly and also the white frame isn't as sharp looking as the black model. (for me anyway)

verdict:
if you are going for a monitor 23-25 inches you want to stick with 1080p, if you can catch this on sale its probably one of the best monitors for the money. when you get to 27 inches and higher, you want to start looking at 1440 resolution and those monitors can be about 2-3 times as expensive as this one.

I like the extremely large display; it's almost as good as having two monitors. The quality is very good. I mostly do spreadsheet and business-related work, so I don't know how it is for gaming. It looks very nice. The only issue I have with it is the precariousness of the base--this is such a large monitor, yet the stand is not very supportive. When I type the monitor slightly wobbles, and if I jostle my desk at all it noticeably moves. I'm concerned that a more significant bump could cause it to break or topple. I'm curious if anyone else who uses this monitor has the same concerns.

I had a previous monitor that quit high above my desk to view security cameras. I never could see the cameras well because of the extreme viewing angle. I replaced the monitor with this one, and my views are great! It works far better than I expected and is a high quality video product for me.

The Samsung wide viewing LED monitor looks nice on your desk, and gives you a nice wide view. There are a number of attractive touches: the narrow bezel, sleek touch button with subtle gold markings and the translucent stem in the base all contribute to a clean attractive look.
The screen is big, bright and clear.

I rated it 4 stars because I am finding it a good deal more difficult to use than my old plain-vanilla Asus ASUS VS228H-P 22-Inch Full-HD 5ms LED-Lit LCD Monitor. Both are effectively plug and play, but I have spent almost 3 hours setting up the Samsung to this point. The unusually wide aspect ratio required some tinkering to get my window centered and edge to edge, and once I did, I needed to make quite a few adjustments to get all my icons back and back where I wanted them. This is a one -time procedure, however part of the reason it took so long is that I had a difficult time properly locating the buttons. Part of what makes it so elegant looking also makes it more difficult to use, particularly if you have poor lighting or compromised vision.

The buttons require a very light touch, which is something on a double-edged sword. I accidentally brushed another button while I was setting up brightness or contrast and found that I had somehow set the language to Swedish. At that point I decided it was time to read the manual, which is only supplied on disk. I was 31 pages into it before I got to any information on setting up the monitor (the rest being warnings and precautions).

First off, when I first saw this monitor I have to say it was not like any other monitor I have seen on the market. Most are now black with black shine or black matte stands. When I got this I was surprised at the white and light (clear plastic) blue body. After putting it together (really simple with its snap and screw mechanism), I had to say that it reminded me of the colorful iMacs from the 90s, which is not a bad thing. I think this adds color to the area I put it in (a monitor by itself for side access to my TV server). However, it would not work too well on a multiple monitor setup (unless you got all of these) since most likely your other monitors are black.

The monitor itself works great. It boots up fast from turn on (no splash screen or anything), and has a great picture. The buttons on the front are all touch (not actual buttons) which is nice and adds to the futuristic feel of this colorful monitor. The screen quality is great and the images look amazing! It is only 1080, so in today's standard it might be a little out dated. However, for a basic monitor it is great. It has a fast refresh rate and games look amazing. I will say that I did have to use auto and than manually adjust, since the screen was pushed to the top a little bit (the top of the screen was a tad out of the viewing window (not a big deal, but it has been a while since I used a monitor that did not auto properly to get the screen all in, could also be my setup...).

In the end this is a great monitor that has an amazing picture. It is 1080P (which is now the norm and is turning into the old), but for a 24" that is a great resolution (I find the 4K and Ultra HD on smaller monitors like this are sometimes hard to use since everything becomes super tiny).
