I've had this for nearly 2 years and it has worked great for me. nice small size. it is difficult to see display when not backlit. i changed the preferences to leave it backlit while in use and have not seen very much drain on the battery, but the phone does get pretty warm. the only major problem i did have was with the speaker and verizon replaced the phone...no problems since.

I purchased this phone a year and a half ago and it's been great. I haven't had any problems with it. The display is sharp. I got two batteries with it - a "short" duration, which makes the phone very light to carry around and looks sleek, too, and also the "longer" time battery. The longer time battery obviously adds a bit of weight to the phone, but not so much that it's bulky in your pocket. The phone is pretty small, anyway, so all in all, it's a great phone and I've been very pleased with it.

This phone is so great! I got this phone when I was in the 8th grade and now I'm going to be Junior in High School and it's been such a great phone! It's small and pretty sleek and is very trend setting (especially for us girls). Who would have thought a gold colored phone would be that popular? When I first bought the phone, a gold colored phone was pretty different, but I've received so many compliments about my phone, especially now that I've jazzed it up a bit with Rhinestones. The smooth and simple surface makes it easy to personalize this phone!

*Teenagers*

-Easy to Rhinetstone
-Is able to use the light-up accessories you can find at the mall . For some reason though, Verizon Wireless has lower radiation, so sometimes the light-up effects don't work; but when they do, it's so much fun!
-The color is pretty cool ^_^

*Everyone in general*

-The "Get it Now' service is great because you don't have to connect your phone to the computer to download things. Sometimes, there are even FREE, that's right FREE trials of some games, ringtone stores, and wallpaper areas...which means free stuff basically! And who doesn't like free stuff?
-The backgrounds are really cool, and they're animated which just makes it so much cooler...even though many phones right now have animated backgrounds, at the time it was pretty cool and it still is!
-The color of the backgrounds are pretty great compared to other phones, such as the update of this which comes in a dark grey color. The only difference is that this phone doesn't have a camera, but I think this one is better because the color is just more vivid.
-There are some pretty decent ringtones, considering the fact that they don't sound like random beeps. Some of the ringtones are from famous operas and songs written by famous composers! It's pretty neat, and they sound good...you can't get any better than that!
-If you prefer a vibrate then this phone is good for you! For me, the vibrate is pretty strong since sometimes when I'm in the mall I can feel the vibrating action in my purse, and sometimes you can even HEAR the vibrate...it's a pretty good vibrating action, considering the fact that some phones don't have great vibrating functions.
-The phone is VERY durable! At least for me so far. I've dropped my phone down the stairs, on the floor at school, down the stairs AT school, and on the pavement and it's working just fine! One of my friends who has this phone, had it smashed with a bowling ball and it's still working fine. It does have a few cracks and scratches but it works the same.
-The front screen is what won me over for this phone. You can change the settings in the front with a digital or hand clock, fish, or these random dots...it's really cool, even though when you talk on the phone, the fishes are upside down...kinda funny actually.
-The menu is really cool, since each category has their own picture (which are also animated).
-Battery life is good too ^_^
-Don't have to charge the battery too long.
*Negatives*

-The phone gets pretty hot when talking on it for a long time...and it gets pretty annoying after awhile and your hand is hot from talking on the phone.
-It is a small phone, but i expected the buttons to be a little bigger...it's ok for me, since I'm a smaller person, but for an adult, it may not be too handy.
-There's no speaker phone
-The extra battery is really big and chunky compared to the regular battery.

**All and all, the phone is a very nice and dependable little phone! I've had mine for such a long time, and it's hard for me to imagine not having it!

The only good thing about the phone is it has get it now, it freezes all the time and you can never hear the ring even when it on the highest volume. bottom line- don't get the phone because is breaks very easily.

I purchased this phone from Verizon 18 months ago for $200+. The phone headset jack stopped working after 2 months and I took it back to Verizon. Verizon replaced it with a defective refurbished phone which promptly stopped working within 3 months. This time, people could not hear me while on a call with me. I took it back again.... This happened 7 times in 18 months. Each time Verizon refused to switch it for a new replacement phone (even when it stopped working within 2 months of purchase. Instead, Verizon exchanged it with a defective refurbished phone which stopped working within 2 to 3 months and I would have to take it back. Eventually, the seventh time I took it back and accused them of selling me a lemon and exchanging it with lemons, the store manager agreed and replaced it with a cheap LG phone. This phone did not have the high capacity battery or travel charger that my original Samsung did and defintely is of inferior construction / aesthetics.

Bottom line - the Samsung phone is defective, purchase it at your peril.
