4.0 out of 5 stars Great Phone, battery life deficiency is grossly exagerated, December 29, 2006
This review is from: Samsung A900M (Sprint)
Yes I charge my phone every night, but I have no problem with it making through the day with calls, texting and light web browsing.

Easy to synch to PC with included USB cable, but best to buy a USB charging data cable to keep it charging while you synch.

Bluetooth functionality is incredible.

The display is the best I have seen in a portable device. It is brighter than my DS Lite with vibrant colors.

Sure, I wish the battery lasted longer (but then we wouldn't have this gorgeous display). I also wish the phone had a memory slot.

For the price/performance, a tough phone to beat. Looks sharper than a razr and much more manly than a fusic.

I am going to be buying a high quality (not OEM) battery for swappage. If that adds an hour to life, this phone will be perfect!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great phone, but wont work if you spill it in a margarita, March 5, 2007
This review is from: Samsung A900M (Sprint)
The phone is amazing. I read the other reviews and i dont know about that guy that gave it a 1 rating, he must have some bad luck. my bluetooth works just fine with it from anywhere less than 2 rooms away. Also I have no gripe about the car charger and the placement of the charger on the phone, in fact I had never even thought of it till i read his comment.
There are only 2 things that annoy me from time to time.

1.) The menu interface is sooooo slow. when you go to your contact list and type in a letter, say K for example, it takes almost a full 7 seconds for it to go down to K. I dont understand why, it makes no sense. I have another phone that still works from 8 years ago and it instantly jumps to the letter you input. that is seriously annoying.

2.) the camera is just OK. maybe thats just me, because I am a photographer and of course i prefer to take pictures with my digital camera, but its too often the pictures on the phone come out overly red in color, way too dark, or blurry. but like i said, maybe i expect too much.

I will say that the swivel feature of the camera is awesome, i love it.

My biggest gripe though, is that after a year of perfect use out of my phone, i spilled a margarita on myself at work, and a good deal of it went into my pocket. now my phone wont work. come on, when will phone companies finally start making our phones that are margarita, shock, and overly-drunk-throw-it-against-the-wall-out-of-rage proof? seriously, is that so much to ask for?
And that is why it gets a 4, and not a 5. pfff

I wouldn't normally write a review, but everyone is giving this phone a bad rap.. I think people that buy into those reviews are getting cheated out of an excellent phone. I've know several people with Razors that ALL like this much much better. The battery life is absolutely fine, and my phone is on vibrate all day. Maybe other reviewers are on the phone constantly on full blast playing mp3s and shooting video.. I don't get it. I've had this phone the better part of a year and never ran out of charge during the day. I plug it in at night. I work as an architect and am on the phone all day long and beat the living hell out of it.. which is another huge plus about this phone. It has a *sturdy* metal housing.. not thin toy crap a la razors or plastic like most phones. I don't do a lot of bluetooth, computer syncing, etc, just use the phone in a fairly conventional way, with regular camera use, and for that it is *easily* far and away the best phone I've ever owned.
