It was simple to install and it worked immediately. It fixed my color laser printer, but the complaint that I have is not the imaging kit, but the cost of the fix. I bought the entire color laser printer for about $100, but this imaging kit cost over $100. This means that it is more cost effective to buy a brand new one and not fix this one. That would have been wasteful, so as much as I hated to spend more money to fix it, I went ahead and bought this imaging kit. I am hoping that this imaging unit last at least a couple of years to assuage the insanity of the relative cost of the fix. My comment to the manufacturer is that they design more robust parts and if not, have a 3 year warranty instead of the 1 year warranty (which may imply that they are only responsible financially if the system only last one year which is not a good product...printer that is).

Bought as a replacement for the imaging unit in my Samsung CLP-300N Laser Printer. I installed it last night and it seems to work great now. But the printer itself has been a nightmare. It has problems feeding the paper all the way through the printer, many times jamming about only an inch or two out of the paper tray. Lately it has been slipping so that the print is applied half an inch further down the page than it should be. I have had the printer just over a year, and then this Imaging Unit failed. It should have lasted for 20,000 pages, but has lasted less than 1500 pages. It remains to be seen how long this new one will last.

Ordered this new imaging unit. When the package arrived, it was clear it had been opened and resealed. No problem I thought. Inside, the black protective bag had been opened, and they had not even bothered to properly re-tape it closed. With such a blatantly obvious sign of prior entry, I was still optimistic that someone had simply been inside the box for innocent reasons. Nope. Someone took the time to transfer all of the orange protective shipping materials. But the unit itself was covered in dust in all of the areas that would be present when installed in the printer. There was toner everywhere, even in the gears. I ended up with this all over my favorite $400 jeans which are surely ruined. Not a good sign. So I tried to install it anyways, and it immediately reported a sensor error.Summary? Someone bought this, switched it with their bad unit, and returned it. Ingram Micro was not diligent enough to inspect the piece or to properly sell it as used. So this piece of junk has been sent to me and now I must deal with this. Extremely angry. At least my original unit works and I was able to re-install and continue printing my regular banded and faded images. Beware of seller.
