The camera is fine and actually stores pictures a little faster than most digital cameras but I'm returning mine. An optical zoom is so standard on cameras that I didn't even notice that this camera didn't have one. It does have a digital zoom but on this camera, it's useless. If you use the digital zoom at all you loose resolution... and not just a little. The picture is severly compromised. So, if you never ever anticipate the need to zoom, not even a little, it's a decent camera.

I just bought the A503 yesterday,after my Polaroid izone 300 was stolen, and I am amazed. It is a wonderful camera(and a vast change from the izone)! It takes great quality photos and has tons of great features, like the cute little frames, and the different colors. It even does great for nature photos, like flowers, close up. I took a picture of a sunflower, and I could see every single seed in the flower. I am totally amazed with this camera. It is a great buy!

I got a red one from Walmart. Very nice little DC at a very good price. I'm a casual user so I don't expect a fancy one. Samsung Digimax A503 gives you great color pictures with details plus some interesting built-in special effects, which will really put a smile on your face when you see it...^)^ I also love the tiny size so I can put it in my pocket without buying a camera bag. The 2.0" LCD screen is pretty big for the size of camera.

I definitely will give it a 5-star!

I bought this camera (in black)after returning the iZone 330 by Poleroid. It is such an improvment!!! It takes great pictures, they are very clear!! Its so small and durable. The LCD screen is huge, so u can see the pictures, no squinting needed!! I havent used the video for anymore than a min or two; that seems to work well too. I Love this camera! It is everything you want in a camera. If you get re-chargeable batteries, you'll be all set with the perfect camera.

I love this camera! I'd been saving up for a digital camera for awhile and finally found one at a good price. There are 3 colors to choose from, red, black, and silver. (I got black because Walmart didn't carry silver for some reason.) The 5 MP makes for great quality photos. For once I have something better than my electronic-crazy dad! There are cool colors and frames that I use a lot, and even a feature that makes it possible to put up to four pics in one photo. I have this camera everywhere I go and can't wait to take it to Florida this week! For a great quality camera at a great price this is a user-friendly camera for all ages!

I am 13 and have gotten stuck with stupid cameras with mood swings, but this is definetly an awesome camera. the digital zoom is not super fantastic but it works. I love it because if you have a 1gb memory card then you can take up to over 1000 pictures on normal mode, and around 350 on super fine mode, it is awesome, plus the batteries are AAs so they are very sheap and easy to find. Overall i would say if you dont want to spend a lot of money but still want a good, quality camera, this is for you

The Samsung Digimax A503 is my second digital camera. I read a lot of reviews on this site before purchasing it at a local store, and it was definitely the right choice.

Along with the camera I bought a 512MB memory card. With the settings on my camera, I can take over 1000 pictures.

A few weeks after purchasing it I brought it on a trip to NYC, Philly, Baltimore, and DC. The camera faired very well, the battery life was good (I use rechargables), and I got tons of great pictures in all sorts of weather and settings.

The only thing I can say is that you have to hold VERY still when you zoom in, and even then the quality isn't the best. But my camera might just not be on the best setting.

Overall, very good camera for the price.

This is my first digital camera other than in a cell phone. It is extremely easy to use. I spent 45 minutes going through the manual with the camera. I recommend downloading the manual from the samsung website. It is much easier than trying to hold the book open and fidget with the camera at the same time.

The features are very easy to manipulate and use. Usually it is just 1 button away. Even if you forget exactly how to do something, You can maneuver around without "messing" stuff up.

One more thing. I am disabled and have limited use of my hands. The way this camera is shaped and the position of the lens and buttons make it relatively easy to figure a way to hold the camera. The big shutter button or whatever makes things pretty sweet also. Most cameras are sort of square shaped; this camera is more oblong.

I got this camera as a present and I must say that it is quite good. The zoom works well, it doesn't come in blurry at all. I love the color filters in this camera, it can add a lot of depth to pictures. It captures video and the video is pretty good too. I found that this camera was easy to figure out as far as menues go, which is saying a lot considering I have a really difficult time with a lot of other cameras. The only reason this is missing a star is because it's a bit of a battery eater, but I find that rolling the batteries in my hands will charge it enough to look through the pictures and take a few more.

With my annual trek to Nashville fast approaching, I wanted a pocket-size camera to replace my aging Sony CyberShot that won't hold a charge anymore. The technology has come a long way in the five years since I got into digital! This sweet model was exactly what I wanted and for even a little less than what I was willing to spend. I spent about half an hour playing around with it when I got it home and felt I had mastered the controls. They are super easy and the camera itself is not much bigger than my cel phone which makes it handy and I think I'll take a lot more pix now. I can adjust the size and resolution of the photos, which is great and the 'negative' effect is fun too. It runs on 2 AA batteries, so long as I keep spares handy, I forsee a lot of use for this baby. This is definitely a bargain for the money!
