If you don't feel like making mounting modifications to your home, and you want a cool, unobtrusive way to keep your plasma supported, this is the perfect solution. It looks good, it is exceedingly sturdy, easy to put together, has good vertical range of motion and around 20 degrees of horizontat tilt. All in all I am very, very happy with this stand.

As a sidenote, I can't believe how many people buy a plasma and then decide to keep all their AV equipment mounted on a deep stand either below or to the side of the plasma ! Do yourself a favour and pick up a relatively cheap IR repeater setup, and put all that ugly equipment behind cabinet doors or in the next room!

I ordered a wall mount to hang my 42" Plasma TV but realized that the plaster walls do not have the proper support to mount something so heavy. The reason for buying a plasma was to reduce clutter and that's why I chose this stand over ones with shelves and other storage. I wanted a very clean and simple look.

I read all the reviews but none mentioned compatability. Well, we found out the hard way. This is not a universal mount. My husband is an engineer and was able to make a special adapter to mount our TV so we are currently using this stand. Except for the compatability issue, this is a great mount. The ability to swing it around so that it could be viewed from the dining room is great! Also the ability to adjust the height is a plus. Sometimes was use the TV for games and kareoke so the height adjustment makes it perfect for what ever. Because it's pneumatic, someone like myself, who is 100 pounds soak and wet, can adjust the height without much strength. And it doesn't slide around on it's own. If your TV fits and you want a simple, sleek and clean look, this is a great stand.
