The TV mount is not the best, but it does work and saves room.

You will have purchase a separate streaming device (e.g. Fire, Roku, etc) but it's the ONLY negative I've experienced.

I have a tv that has lines on the left side of the screen for TWO hours when I turn it on.

I bought this T.V. nearly 2 years ago when it became available in 2010. I saw a video of it online from the CES 2010 and I fell in love. The picture is OUTSTANDING - to this day I have not seen another LED tv that compares. The top plasmas of course have an equal or even better picture. The touchscreen, iphone like remote is cool looking but not very functional - you have to charge it every couple hours and a touchscreen period is not very functional for a tv remote. The smart tv functions are pretty cool but also somewhat cumbersome to actually use on a regular basis - they load pretty slow and typing via the remote is very annoying. The 3D picture is awesome, especially via blue-rays, very little cross talk or eyestrain, just as good as the theatre in my opinion. Gaming is also awesome on this tv. I purchased this tv for $3200 from BrandsMart USA, which included 2 pairs of 3d glasses and a Samsung 3d Blueray player. Everything on this tv is metal except for the swivel which I believe is solid glass. Thinner than a pencil, very slick looking from the side. One knock against this tv is that occasionally you can see uneven lighting around the edges, but it is barely noticeable in most lighting conditions. Even 2 years later after purchasing everybody that sees my tv is very impressed. My friend has the Samsung 55" 7000 series from 2010, and I must admit the picture on his tv is identical, and that tv was nearly $1500 cheaper. If you are interested in this tv, I would not pay more than $2500-$3000, as it is a 2010 model and technology has improved, with the nearly borderless Samsungs available now, with slightly better smart tv functionality.

I love this TV.

I bought this TV from Best Buy as a floor model about 3 1/2 years ago. This is the one big purchase I have ever gotten that I can honestly say I have never had buyer's remorse for. I am an avid gamer; games and Blurays look amazing on it with little to no adjustments to the settings. The 240 frame rate provides a smooth transition between scenes. My friends have bought LG, Sony and other brands since then and this TV still blows theirs out of the water. I recently got a house and wall mounted this TV, the wall mount is more like a picture frame mount than a traditional TV mount and with a recessed outlet the TV comes out from the wall less than a picture frame. I have used game systems to run my Netflix, Hulu & HBO go apps so I cannot attest to how it runs apps as a Smart TV but with the number of inputs this TV has there is not much reason to rely on the TV itself to run apps. The other feature I cannot attest to is the 3D, as a floor model it did not come with glasses and 3D makes my wife nauseous so we didn't buy any. The only problem I have run into is every now and then (it has happened less than 10 times in the past 3 1/2 years of almost constant use) when I turn the TV on and a game system (it has happened with Xbox 360 as well as PS3 but seems to happen more with PS3) the volume gets maxed out to the point of hurting my ears. If I turn the TV off and then back on it is back to normal. If I had the money I would buy a second one, no question about it. I recommend using a sound bar/surround sound with the TV, the speakers work fine but if there is ambient noise you will need to turn the volume up very high and I prefer not to do that in fear of blowing out the speakers. I have not encountered the horizontal lines issue some people report.

I purchased this television new from Best Buy in 2010 and have enjoyed many hours of viewing. Since that time, I have become an Amazon Prime member and would like to take advantage of Amazon Instant Video. This set came with apps for Yahoo, Netflix, HuluPLUS, Crackle, Flickr and several others but nary an Amazon app to be found, although the Amazon Instant video setup instructions say it is on the Yahoo Widget bar; it's not there.
You will have purchase a separate streaming device (e.g. Fire, Roku, etc) but it's the ONLY negative I've experienced.

I bought this TV as a floor model two years ago and it's still better than most TVs out today. 3D is amazing, Picture is bright and deep. The TV mount is not the best, but it does work and saves room. I myself prefer to leave is on it's stand. If you can pick this TV up for under 1500, do it
