The Samsung Q2 is a solid MP3 player. It features great audio quality, support for many audio formats (aside from Apple's own, anyway), as well as ease of use. Unlike others, I have had no problems transferring music or playlists to this player. My computer is running Windows 7 64-bit professional and I use MediaMonkey to build playlists and to transfer audio.

The best feature has to be the long battery life. About 50 hours of playback is what is touted and my experiences with it seem to back this up. Sure, you can use a modern phone to listen to your music, but you won't get this kind of battery run time. Perfect for trips, bike rides, or catching up on podcasts while working.

Purchased this unit after doing a lot of research. The first thing
that should have made me suspicious was the fact that the Samsung
software Emodio did not automatically prompt me for a download nor
was it any where to be seen. I ended up downloading the software
manually myself from the Samsung website. It did not work.
Was able to download the songs to the player using Media Player 12 but was not
able to use the playlist function. After several calls to
Samsung, they tell me that this unit does not work with Windows 7 or
and Media Player 12 that there are some bugs and they have not
worked them out yet. Windows has been out since late last year,
I don't know what is taking them so long. Needless to say, I returned the unit.

Wow..well one out of two ain't bad. I love this MP3 player. Took it to the gym today..Great sound and everything else. The only thing is that I cannot seem to find a good arm band that will fit this thing. I did get the GeeBee Ultimo sports arm band...That did not fit this player. Great MP3 player...Jodiepx

Got one of these players as a gift. The player is great and has lots of features that other popular players don't. Great battery life, radio, recording. I would prefer this to my ipod, except for two complaints.

First, You cant charge and play at the same time using the included USB cable. I haven't tried any other chargers.

Second, Emodio software (required to load music and video) is very unstable on the 4 computers I have tried. When I try to convert video to Samsung's .SVI format the software crashes.

Over all I would avoid this player. You can't even purchase videos to play on a Q2. This product is such a disappointment. I really hate to say it but it is worth the extra money to get an iPod Nano. Samsung is not an ipod killer, for me it is a reason to junk this and buy a new ipod. (said with much pain)
