AT&T's 4G Network
AT&T boasts the largest 4G mobile broadband network in the United States, covering more than 292 million people with a combination of two layers of 4G technology: the 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) network and an older technology called HSPA+ that delivers near-4G speeds. AT&T's 4G LTE network is currently live in 261 markets across the U.S. (as of May, 2013) with more markets continually being added. AT&T expects to cover 300 million people with its 4G LTE network by the end of 2014.
With 4G LTE technology, you'll get mobile Internet speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G, enabling you to upload a photo in 6 seconds, download a song in 4 seconds, and download HD movies in minutes and apps almost instantly. You can expect average download data rates of 13 megabits per second (Mbps) and 6 Mbps for uploads in real-world, loaded network environments.
If you are not in an area served by 4G LTE, you'll be able to connect to AT&T's HSPA+ enhanced backhaul network, which delivers speeds up to 4x faster than AT&T's HSPA 3G network. With the combination of 4G LTE and HSPA+, you'll enjoy higher data speed averages than other networks.
In areas where either AT&T's 3G or 4G network is not available, you'll continue to receive service on the AT&T EDGE network, which offers availability in more than 13,000 US cities and along some 40,000 miles of major highways.
Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS
An even sweeter Jelly Bean, the Android 4.3 operating system's Android 4.3's new restricted profiles feature can be used to limit access to apps and content -- at home with your family and at work. Fast, fluid, and smooth, Android 4.3 offers effortless movement between home screens -- like turning the pages of a book. And it includes faster orientation changes, quicker switching between recent apps, and smoother and more consistent rendering throughout your mobile device.
Browse and download thousands of free and paid apps from around the world via Google Play or the Amazon Appstore for Android.
Restricted Profiles. Put your tablet into a mode with limited access to apps and content. For example, a parent can set up profiles for each family member, and a business manager can set up profiles that keep employees focused on work.
Built-in Security Protection. Android is designed to keep you and your data safe. Every app runs in its own sandbox, a secure space isolated from other apps. And whenever you download an app, Android can automatically scan it for viruses, checking apps against a database maintained by Google.
Expandable, Actionable Notifications. Android has always put you in control when it comes to staying notified and connected. Just swipe down from the top of the screen to see all your notifications in one place. Late for a meeting or missed a call? Take action in an instant directly from the notifications shade.
Smooth Operator. More reactive and uniform touch responses mean you can almost feel the pixels beneath as your finger moves across the screen. .
Live in the Now. With Google Now, you get the right information at just the right time -- before you even ask. It can tell you today's weather before you start your day, or when the next train will arrive as you're standing on the platform. .
Smarter Keyboard with Gesture Typing. Just glide your finger over the letters you want to type, and lift after each word. You don't have to worry about spaces because they're added automatically for you.
Beam Photos and Videos. With Android Beam, you can easily share your photos and videos.

Lets do this review by bulletin points for easier viewing:
1) The biggest and most obvious different when you first pick this up is the screen. There are a handful of improvements:
* The resolution has been upgraded to 1080p(from 720p). You can noticeably tell that it is crisper.
* You will also find out that it is a bit brighter. For us geeks, that means Samsung has upped the brightness levels to an incredible and unheard of 660 cd/m2 max(when auto brightness is turned on).
* Sunlight legibility is MUCH improved over the Note 2. However, it is still not as good as the HTC One's screen. The Super AMOLED has AWESOME contrast levels(velvety deep blacks). As a whole however, and because of its Pentile pixel system, it comes just a bit short of the HTC One's Super LCD 3. It is really nitpicking though, so you won't ever regret this.
2) This phone flies, almost literally. The Samsung Exynos Octa-core/Snapdragon 800 processors mean this thing will hardly ever lag, and 3GB of RAM means you can multi-task to your heart's content!
3) Improved S-Pen hardware/software mean it's no longer a gimmick gadget from the original Note. Too much to describe all the functions, and you can do without it for most functions. But business users will really appreciate this once you work on productivity/design apps.
4) All those software features!Read more ›
The Galaxy Note 3 is one such device. For a bit of background I've used every major OS that is on the market now as well as some casualties of the Smartphone War. I've bounced back and forth between the current giants of the land but I've at times ventured away towards the outcasts. My last experiment was with a Nokia N9 running MeeGo which overall wasn't a bad experience but the dated hardware made me forfeit that journey early on.
Enter the greatest smartphone in the World! The Galaxy Note 3! Sorry, I don't mean to sound so dramatic but at the same time...I do. That's just how enjoyable this experience has been overall.
Everything about this device has me wanting to tell every person that I see to go and buy one. I try and show them cool features or just how beastly this device is and even with my impeccable sales skills my praises fall on deaf ears. Not because what I'm saying isn't a good enough example of the Note 3's superiority to every other device on the market currently. The issue is that all the features that make this N3 amazing are things that you have to experience first hand. The first time that you're on a call and take an Action Memo or your first Scrap Book creation or your first Sketch Book sketch. These are all things that need to happen naturally while using the device for you to sit back and think, " Wow...this phone is awesome!".
That's really the point to all this is that these are all things that you have to experience for yourself .Read more ›
I really like the Google system of being able to sync your contacts and calendar with your android phone. This made changing phones so much easier. Within a few minutes of actually receiving the phone I had my contacts and calendar loaded up and ready to go.
The "S" pen is alright. When you take out the pen, a small menu comes up at the bottom right of the screen that let's you pick from an assortment of apps like launching the S-note feature or searching for content on your phone. With my old phone, I took out the pen, then had to find and launch the S-note app and then take the note. This little pop up window is handy, but I really doubt if peole will purchase the phone just for this option.
The screen on this phone is amazing. The phone has 388 ppi. The numbers mean little not me, but the screen is very easy to look at. Letters in documents are crisp, pictures have sharp edges with no blur in them. The colors looks very good... I think (I am color blind, like colors matter to me... LOL)
The camera does a pretty good job. In some test photos that I have taken the phone is slow to focus, so the ability to take the phone out of a pocket to get the spontaneous quick shot is not there, but the camera does take some really nice pictures. The video portion of the camera is where things start to fall apart. The video camera is not the greatest as far as lighting goes.Read more ›
