It has a low profile design that precisely fits your tab. It has a fashionable matte finish with embossed texture. With the case on, it leaves easy access to all ports and buttons. Its side keys are covered but protruded 0.5mm for position indication. By outlining the protrusions with thinner silicone, the skin is no obstruction to the tactile feedback of the keys.

Amazon Verified Purchase
Having had good luck with silicone skins for my present and past cell phones, I thought this would be a good defense against the occasional drop or bump for the Galaxy Tab and it has. I do like the fact that the manufacturer has allowed a slot for the charger which hasn't been the case for my cell phones but such is life. Someone did additional thinking in getting this skin to market and I'm thankful they did.
By the way, the Galaxy Tab has exceeded my expectations and I'm glad I bought it instead of the ipad but that's getting off topic for this particular review. Oh, heck, just a couple of hits: The Galaxy has a SD card slot and accesses Flash videos on the net which even the ipad2 won't do. I'll stop there. Back to the skin. It attaches easily and seldom has to come off the Galaxy because of its snug fit and providing that needed non-skid surface and attendant protection. I recommend it.

After extensive search to find the best silicone case for the Samsung Galaxy Tab i decided on this Samsung OEM, and as expected it fits snuggly, offers added protection and all ports are exposed with the exception of the ON/OFF switch and VOLUME control which are covered by a thin membrane that does not interfere with the operability of the unit.
Although the "grooved" design is a nice feature, unfortunately it has the unwanted side effect of catching dust and dirt easily within its grooves and i wish whoever designed it had noticed such "pesky" details; That is why i gave it a 4-star review instead of 5-star.
Once installed, the case looks almost part of unit itself, offering much better handling and gripping, not to mention the fact of all that extra protection from shock.
Definitely a "MUST HAVE" if you own a Samsung Galaxy Tab !

The good- it fits well. It is easy to put on, but has enough stretch to it that it's also easy to take off if you want to in order to put a card in or take out. There are openings for everything except your microsd card.
The bad- everything sticks to it- lint, dust, and hair! Because of that I may decide to buy something else, but if you are looking to protect your Galaxy tab it does do that.
