5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing and Beautiful System, October 5, 2007
    By
This review is from: Samsung HT-X250T DVD Home Theater System (Electronics)
Samsung HT-X250T DVD Home Theater System

Let me start by saying that I own the Samsung FPT5084 50" 1080p Plasma. I was looking for a samsung system to match my tv. To be honest I really didn't like any of the samsung HTIB systems (home theater in a box). I keept leaning toward the Sony Bravia DAV-HDX500 beacuse it had everything I needed. HDMI ports, Optical ect. I was looking for about a month going to best buy and curict city and testing out all their systems. But I really didn't like how the Sony Bravia looked. The other system I loved was the BOSE Lifestyle Because of the sound and design. The sound was great with that system but the price tag was way to high and that it didn't upconvert to 1080i. Then I found this Samsung HT-X250t I was very impressed with its design but I had no idea how it sounded. It had everything I was looking for in a surround sound system from the design to all the imputs and upconverting abilities. The only thing is that I could not find one of these systems at Best Buy or Circuit City. Circuit City has it on their website but its only avaiable for online ordering. I then was searching for reviews all over the place and couldn't find one that sounded legit. Having my sights on this HTIB I was thinking about ordering it from Circuit City and testing it out and taking it back if it didn't hold up to my standerds. A couple days later it arrives, I unpack it and WOW im very impressed with the design of this system. It has a piano gloss black finish to match my Samsung Plasma which is exactly what I was looking for. It almost looks like the PS3. Anyway, I got it all hooked up and watched a movie and it sounds great. I put in Mission Impossible 3 DVD to test the sound. At the part in the movie when they are driving on the bridge and they get attacked via air strike from a jet it made me jump literly. The sound is amazing with this system and captures true surround sound. The DVD player also looks great because of the upconverting to 1080i.

Bottom line I would recomend this system to anyone who is looking for a system that has a great design and awsome sound. I just don't know why Samsung doesn't promote this system more.

    I hope this helps.

    Brandon

5.0 out of 5 stars great sound for the money, November 28, 2007
This review is from: Samsung HT-X250T DVD Home Theater System (Electronics)
What a great sound system this turned out to be. I think that Samsung has come a long way in the electronics field. The system was packaged very securely and in perfect condition when I got it. After doing some reading on how to install it I was watching and listening to a great movie hooked up to my HDTV with a HDMI cable in about two hours.(including mounting the speakers on the wall) For the money the quality you get with unit is superb. I am really enjoying it.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Samsung HT-x250 Great system, December 21, 2007

Samsung HT-X250T DVD Home Theater System

We have a 50" plasma Samsung and while the TV is great, especially on HD, the sound is not impressive. We own some BOSE products and we really like the sound that BOSE provides. I had my mind set to get a BOSE system and was primarily looking at the BOSE 3-2-1 Series II. However the user reviews were middle of the road. I then began to look on this site for 5 star rated systems and was impressed by the reviews on the Samsung HT-x250. We decided to give it a shot and am I ever glad we did.

The system has a sleek modern style which we like and fits well with the Samsung TV. Installation was a breeze. Color coded speaker connections really help you to sail right through installation. I've never owned a home theater system before but I had this one up and running in half an hour and I was taking my time.

I can use the universl remote for both the TV and the Home Theater System.

Now for the important part. This system just delivers unbelievable sound for the price. I can't imagine why anyone would need a better system. For the first test run I put in "Saving Private Ryan" and watched the D-day beach invasion scene. The sound was out of this world. I have this set up in a fairly small room but I feel certain it would work just as well in a larger room, perhaps better because you turn the volume up a little more. When my wife went out this evening I cranked this puppy up to see what it would do. I got it as loud as I could stand it and couldn't detect any distortion.

You can adjust the volume on the center speaker as well as the balance between the right and left speakers, both front and back. However I'd like to have a little more sound from the rear speakers and I haven't been able to find a way to increase their volume. Now of course I have not read the owners manual so there may be a way to do this. God forbid I actually ask for help with this.

If your looking for a reasonably price Home Theater System I think you'd be very pleased with this choice. Good looks, ease of installation and killer sound.
