4.0 out of 5 stars Sam-Sung
Overall the system is good, very easy to set-up. Just un-pack and color match the speaker cables, plug-it in and your done.
It could have been 5 stars but it doesn't have an AM tunner, most sporting events are broadcast on AM so its a big deal for me.
The USB port is great, just plug-in your drive and set the input to AUX and hit play. In a hurry, you don't...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the price
As pretty much everyone else has said, this home theater system is not worth the price. The rear back (surround) speaker blew after a few months of usage. I used it to play Call of Duty on the PS3 and it did, indeed, sound pretty good for a bit. But only after 4 months the speaker blew out. The annoying "blown out" crackling sound is all that comes from it now. Basically,...

4.0 out of 5 stars Sam-Sung, October 23, 2009
This review is from: Samsung HT-Z320 Home Theater System (Electronics)
Overall the system is good, very easy to set-up. Just un-pack and color match the speaker cables, plug-it in and your done.
It could have been 5 stars but it doesn't have an AM tunner, most sporting events are broadcast on AM so its a big deal for me.
The USB port is great, just plug-in your drive and set the input to AUX and hit play. In a hurry, you don't even need to hook up the system to a tv if you just need it for music.
Image quality is good, PS3 takes care of that. Using the system just for the audio.

Pros:
Great Sound
Easy Set-up
Good image quality

Cons:
No AM Tunner
Speaker wires could have been of a thiker gauge
Subwoofer could have had a screen to protect it

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for $200, November 9, 2009

I wanted a cheap system so I purchased this one from my local store. It's fairly easy to set up and use. When I plugged my iphone in, I'm used to things working instantly but with this system, you need to wait about 10 seconds for it to recognize the iphone and then play music.

Sound quality if good. Remote is easy to use.

All in all, happy with my purchase. I'd recommend it for someone who wants a cheap system. Keep in mind...for $200 you are getting a dvd player, receiver, 5 speakers, 1 sub-woofer. It's inexpensive and you get a lot for the low price point. But cheaper things do tend to break more

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Basic Unit If You have a Samsung TV, January 7, 2010
This review is from: Samsung HT-Z320 Home Theater System (Electronics)
Unit has OK sound. It's nowhere near 1000 watts though. more like 100. Easy to assemble. If you need sound through the unit from the TV, you will need a fiber-optic TosLink cable in addition to the HDMI cable. Our TV, Samsung 42B450 only does audio-in on HDMI (ref p.30 in stereo user manual#. The system works great w/Samsung's AnyNet, 1 remote controls it all. DVD plays all the disks we have- CD-R w/MP3, DVD-RW and R. Bass is too strong at factory settings.

Pros; low cost, goes well w/other Samsung equipment, sound is OK, small center speaker, CD-rip capable, USB and I-POD support.

Cons; Front panel buttons not lighted, 1000 watt claim is a joke, proper cables are not included #HDMI and TosLink)

Overall, we like and will keep the unit. It's for our formal living room and is not the main system.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it, January 7, 2010

Love this surround sound system. Does everything you would expect from a boxed HT system. Got it with a 50" plasma and it works great. Hooked up with HDMI cable and digital optical cable for surround sound and DVD picture. Sounds awesome with movies...star trek, new wolverine x-men movie etc. This is the easiest thing in the world to hook up anyone can do it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the price, April 27, 2011
This review is from: Samsung HT-Z320 Home Theater System (Electronics)
As pretty much everyone else has said, this home theater system is not worth the price. The rear back (surround) speaker blew after a few months of usage. I used it to play Call of Duty on the PS3 and it did, indeed, sound pretty good for a bit. But only after 4 months the speaker blew out. The annoying "blown out" crackling sound is all that comes from it now. Basically, it's in my garage now, probably just going to get dumped, rather than paying for another speaker ($40).

Also, for anyone looking to invest in a home theater system, I suggest forgetting about home theater altogether, and invest in a much more versatile receiver. With a general receiver, you can pick out any speakers, dvd players, blue ray players, you desire to work with it. With home theater systems, you're forced to use the specific speakers and dvd player that come with the product. I regret buying the bundled "home theater system" and wihs I just went with a receiver.

2.0 out of 5 stars Got it free for buying a tv, May 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Samsung HT-Z320 Home Theater System (Electronics)
That being said, im glad i got it for free cause the quality is def subpar. the rear speakers sound aweful. If its not static, no sound, then its the lack of volume. I have tried playing around in these settings but nothing seems to work. The front and center speakers arent that bad, but the rears really take away from enjoying it around you. As far as the player goes i dont have really any issues other than the dont really have buttons...why they went to that ill have no idea. Havent had any errors, reading or loading. If i wouldnt of gotten this free (bought my inlaws a new tv) and had paid there asking price of like 320 roughly i would have been very upset and returned them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Samsung - Bad selling company., March 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Samsung HT-Z320 Home Theater System (Electronics)
The home theater from Samsung is a good quality system. It has all the basic features. Nothing too fancy, just a good solid system. The bad thing about this purchase was buying from Capital Outlet. Nothing in the ad said the product was a demo or return. The ad leaves you to believe that the product is brand new. It arrived in a box slightly bigger than the orignal box with no padding. The system's box was obviously repackaged since the batteries were in the remote, the speaker wires were hand wrapped, and the protective foam bags were haphazardly put around the actual hardware. Again, no problems with the Samsung home theater system, just be aware of Capital Outlet!
