This adapter works great with my LG VX8300. No problems what-so-ever! Great value from Amazon!

I purchased this so I could use my standard ear buds with my LG VX-8300 from Verizon and it works perfect! If you have a LG VX-8300 - look no further... this is all you need.

I purchased this for my Samsung SCH-a930 phone. You need to get one of these cables if you plan on using your own headphones to listen to music files from your phone. I wasn't able to find any other adapter that worked without producing some strange results with the phone.

This cable works great -- you just plug it into the 2.5mm jack on the phone and then plug your headphones into the 3.5mm jack. When the phone rings, the music cuts off and you can hear the phone itself ringing -- you won't hear any ringtone through the headphones. I didn't want that effect anyway, but keep this in mind because you'll need to juggle the phone and your headphones if you get an incoming call. This could also vary from phone to phone.

There are several cons I can think of: First, the price is OK if not exactly reasonable. Second, the length of the cable is too long. In fact, I don't know why it has to be a "cable" instead of being a simple adapter (like those you can get at electronics parts stores). The cable seems well constructed overall, but I'll be interested to see how it holds up over time based on the price. Third, it's white. While this may not bother most people, it bothers me. The phone I have is black and red, and my headphones and cable are black. I would have preferred a black cable.

A warning to LG VX8300 users: I bought this to listen to MP3's on my phone and although it worked, the volume level was so low it made the unit worthless for anything other than listening in a quiet environment. In fact, the phone's tiny speakers were louder than the headphones. I tried with two different sets of 3.5mm headphones with the same result.

Today I purchased the Jabra C120s 2.5mm headset. The volume level is much louder, plus you can use them to answer a call without removing the headphones (built-in mic). The only negative comment I have about the C120s is that one ear bud cord is twice as long as the other. What's up with that? Very annoying.

Just thought I would add a review, currently there is not an adapter like this for the LG CU500, so I took a risk and it worked. This was the second adapter I had bought, the first one only allowed for audio on one side not both, this one did the trick. So if you have an LG CU500, this one will work. Note** the prior adapter only had two rings on the plug, if you look at the picture this one has three, I think that was the key, not sure though.

I have a pair of headphones with the standard mini-plug connector. The new cell phones have what's called a micro-plug jack. Micro-plug jacks are even smaller than mini jacks. Now my old headsets work perfectly when using the cell phone to play MP3s.

Because of the shape of this adapter, it doesn't stick out of the side of the phone as obviously as adapter plugs. This adapter has an L-shaped connector with a short wire coming out of it. This allowing the headset wire to be closer to the body of the phone and not protrude straight out of the side and get in the way if you want to have the phone in your pocket.

I can confirm this also works with the Samsung SCH-a950 V-Cast phone. Works fine with my 3.5mm iPod earbuds, in stereo. Volume is not overly loud, in fact, I wish it was louder.

The only complaint is that the cord is not molded into the receiving end of the plastic body on the female side, so a tug may or may not pull it out, I've had mine for 8 months with no trouble. But it's a heck of a deal and even has gold plated connectors. Note that you must have the 3 ring input as is on this model in order to get stereo sound. (out of both ear pieces) I bought another one of these which was a two ring model and sound would only come from one side. This is because cell phones devote one of the ring sections to the microphone function so a two ring input will not hit all contacts properly.

I had been looking for a 2.5mm to 3.5mm headphone adapter for my LG VX8350 without much luck. Took a chance on this item and it works perfectly! With this adapter, my Sennheiser CX300-B earbuds and 2GB microSD card for the VX8350 and I have a nice MP3 player/cellphone combo.

I used this to play music from my LG VX8600 phone to my car stereo via a cassette adapter. It works great, the audio comes out both speakers so I can listen to music in my car using a normal cassette adapter. My first purchase of an adapter from a retail store did not work (only audio from one speaker) because there were only 3 rings of metal on the male jack. I don't know the technicalities of it, but there must be 4 rings on the jack or 3 separator rings (in this case they are white).
