Samsung's Impax 210i offers a 2x zoom and the convenience of the Advanced Photo System format, including drop-in film loading, three picture formats, and improved negative storage and reprinting capabilities.

Product Description

Samsung Impax 210i is the middle class-model of the Samsung Impax range whose 2x zoom-objective of four lenses 1:5, 6-10, 7/28-56mm opens a wide field of fascinating creativity. The 210 model technically complies with the Impax 110, but the program automatic system controls the shorter shutter time of up to 1/400 seconds and the flash reaches up to even four meters in the wide angle position of zoom objective with a 100 ISO film.Owing to the PQI-technology in Impax 210i (Print Quality Improvement), certain characteristics of the photograph (e. g. light situation, flash distance etc.) will be magnetically stored on the film, which produces better quality pictures.Product FeaturesCompact, fully automatic Advanced Photo System camera28 to 56mm zoom lensAutomatic flash with red-eye reduction, fill, and off modesSelf-timerMagnetic date and time imprintingTechnical DetailsBrand Name: SamsungModel: Impax 210iDevice Type: Point & Shoot / Zoom cameraAuto Focus Technology: Infrared-activeFilm Speed Range: ISO 50 - 1600Lens Type: Zoom lensMinimum focal length: 28 millimetersMaximum focal length: 56 millimetersOptical zoom: 2 xIncluded Flash Type: Built-in flashFlash Modes Description: Fill-in mode, Auto mode with red-eye reduction, Flash OFF modeWidth: 3.9 inchesDepth: 1.4 inchesHeight: 2.4 inchesWeight: 6.7 Ounces

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Camera, December 9, 1999
By
This review is from: Samsung Impax 210i Zoom APS Camera (Electronics)
I was really impressed by this little camera. It's tiny, light and looks great. The controls are a little small for those of us with big fingers but otherwise well thought out. The pictures are great. It has an adjustable viewfinder and the framing is pretty accurate. Great 2X zoom. I've used it in low light with no problems. The red eye reduction is a little weak, but works in most cases. The APS film is a breeze to use. The LCD panel on the back is pretty straight forward. They use the KISS (keep it simple stupid) philosophy with the diagrams and controls. I recommend this little gem to anyone who needs a simple point and shoot. What a price, you can buy two for the price of the Cannon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Samsung's cheap champion camera, February 22, 2000
This review is from: Samsung Impax 210i Zoom APS Camera (Electronics)
What do you guys expect for 100 bucks? I expected less to tell you the truth. This camera is great for the price. It packs all the options you need, has a smooth quiet zoom, and takes excellent photos. The date feature and the digital readouts on the back are another nice addition. The size is great too, as a student, I just stick this in the corner of the front bag pocket or on my belt, yes, the case has a belt loop. The buttons are small though, but I have thin fingers. Those with big fingers, don't buy this camera. Those with average fingers who want a 150 dollar camera for 100 bucks, go for it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could be better., February 20, 2000
This review is from: Samsung Impax 210i Zoom APS Camera (Electronics)
Overall this camera does it's job. The picture quality is impressive, but the red eye reduction is fairly weak. In order for you to take a good picture, you have capture your picture in the frame, then hold the button half way down so the camera has a chance to focus, and then push the button all the way down to snap the picture. This doesn't seem very painful, but if you're anything like me you don't really have the time to pay that much attention when your snapping picts. If you're looking to spend $100 on a camera I would recommend going for a Cannon ELPH or a Nikon of some sort. Samsung makes great cell phones though!
