i ordered this set from amazon about a month and a half ago and since have grown to really love this tv. i have a sony kdf xs955 in the living and purchased the samsung for the bedroom. it mounted on the wall beautifully as the white really pops. i am also using this as a computer monitor using monster cables and the transfer is fantastic. the picture quality when viewing hd content is quite nice, not quite as good as the sony in the living room, but very nice. the dNie setting helps a lot. you definitely want to view this from at least 80" away. the built in speakers are a lot better than i expected and will provide plently of volume and clarity for a small the medium sized room. i was a bit skeptical about buying this since i could not really find any reviews of this particular model but have been very pleased. if you are looking for something with a different look, i would definitely this set.

First, I have to say Amazon isnt lying when they say the price on this TV is a 'great deal' considering I just bought this exact TV from [store] for about 400-500 dollars more. I went through all the Plasmas and LCD's in [store] before deciding on this one. This TV was one of the best looking and one of the more unique ones in the store.

The TV has a circular base which lets you move it as far right or left as you'd like so no matter where you sit you can tilt it- But its so huge you probably wont need to. I have the same TV except its in black. You should definitely have this delivered considering the huge size and weight. Its 40 inches and its a widescreen.

The TV is fairly easy to set up considering all the different features. It took me less than 10 minutes. You can connect a PC, a camcorder, and the standard things like DVD. It has everything. You can change screen sizes, freeze moving pictures, Daylight savings time, etc.. If youre looking for a very large TV with a good picture and reasonably priced then buy it. Try to buy it from Amazon and not the store because you get a better deal here. Overall, good value for the money and Highly Recommended.

I received my TV from Amazon yesterday and the shipment was on time and very well coordinated. The TV is very beautiful and the white frame brightens up the room and even accentuates its modern look. The picture on the TV is awesome and I am loving it!!! The remote control is kind of hard to work with because you have to push the buttons really hard to select a certain option. but it's ok because it's white also.....I am very happy with my purchase and with the shipping and taxes, Amazon was the most reasonable price for this TV....I highly reccomend this TV!!!

I have had this TV for 6 weeks with no complaints. I waited until I got HD reception before I could comment. Now I can see what a difference HD makes and this Samsung model looks, sounds, and works great.

This HDTV is awesome. The price can not be beaten for an LCD HDTV of this quality. We looked at other stores and on-line places. Amazon.com had the best prices and free shipping! Everyone who has seen this TV is amazed at how great the picture looks. 4000:1 contrast ratio gives an awesome picture. Hooking up games (Xbox 360) to it is simple and the picture is great. Watching DVD's and live sports in HD with an HDMI cable is like being there! Easy to attach sound systems, DVD, games, everything that you would need. Also 2 HDMI attachments!! If you purchase this TV you will not be disappointed. I may buy another one!

Bought this tv mainly because of it's style. Grew tired of all the Black tv's and the fact my living room color scheme is Carribean Flavored. I did however do all my homework and stuck with Samsung due to my last tv being of the DLP flavor (which was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina). At first I really wasn't blown away and thought my previous tv looked a lot better when watching DVD's. However, since then I've hooked up my Playstation 3 and watched my first Blu-Ray Movies and WHOA! Need I say more......

Pros:
1) 40' LCD TV for under $1,400
2) Nice color (white) and light weight

Cons:
1) It was my first LCD TV. My first impression was disappointment. Picture quality is not good as CRT TV unless you uses HD signal. Not sure more expensive ones have better quality with non-HD signal. Now I am used to the picture.

2) I am using HDMI connection for DVD. Sometimes it does not show picture only sound. I need to unplug HDMI cable and re-plug the cable to fix the problem. Again, not if it is TV problem, cable, or DVD player problem.

3) Sometimes, the sound vibrates. Just sometimes.

Conclusion:
Even though I listed more cons than pros, there is work around for problem #2 and other cons do not really bother me. Bottom line is I am happy with the TV.

I own this TV for now almost a year. I like very much the picture quality, the exterior design and features. Price has fallen to almost 50% now in less than a year. I strongly recommend this TV.

Just go for it

We redid our bedroom and put this TV on the wall and we love it. Not only is the picture spectacular but it looks great on the wall with the white color of the TV.
