Samsung's DNIe™ Samsung's DNIe™ (click for demo) technology offers digital perfection in naturally presented, crystal-clear images that uncover even the most minute detail.

Motion Optimizer: The visual data are automatically broken down into signal and noise and adjusted through a combined spatial/temporal process to eliminate noise and blurring without the slightest damage to the original signal. This guarantees the viewer a picture of astounding sharpness, whether the scene is still or moving.

Contrast Enhancer: DNIe has done away with the unwanted side-effects that conventional contrast enhancement can produce, such as noise boost-up and flicker by developing an algorithm that recognizes over 1 million criteria for applying contrast. Its detail contrast enhancement technology can automatically analyze up to 70,000 local images within a frame, treating the viewer to a picture rich in contrast even in the tiniest details.

Color optimizer: For each scene the color optimizer calculates the saturation of red, green, and blue in the input signal and adjusts it to the shades that the human eye accepts as natural. Even a conventional process like white tone enhancement produces more striking results when when used with DNIe. The end result is a palette of vivid hues and pure white tones to satisfy the most discerning viewers eye.

Detail enhancer: Many viewers complain of the unnatural effect that conventional uniform detail enhancement produces by relying on artificial amplification of the input signal. In contrast, DNIe automatically analyzes the portion to be amplified, detecting and re-processing any noise or defect to bring the viewer a startlingly sharp and lifelike image.

Featuring an LCD panel created in Samsung's state-of-the-art Gen 7 plant, the LNS3252D incorporate the latest cutting-edge developments in technology (as well as design). While viewing either very bright or very dark scenes, it can be difficult to distinguish main images which blend into the background. Samsung's Dynamic Contrast dramatically mitigates this problem by adjusting the backlight intensity, providing up to a 4x improvement in contrast. It offers support for a range of Samsung MP3 players and other portable digital audio devices, with an RS-232 port enabling you to navigate the player's content on-screen with the LCD remote by connecting the device to the TV via an RS-232 cable. Samsung also worked closely with Microsoft to create a special Game Mode that optimizes image quality, sound and response time for more realistic video game play--with just a single touch of a button. The Game Mode enhances dark areas, sharpens the picture, speeds up the image processing response and enhances the sounds of your games.

The LNS3252D features a stunning 4000:1 contrast ratio, 500 cd/m2 brightness rating (for brighter whites, deeper blacks, and every shade in between), a 1366 x 768-pixel resolution (for a widescreen 16:9 screen aspect ratio), 178-degree viewing angle, and a super-fast 8ms (millisecond) response time, which minimizes blurring of moving images and is especially helpful for sports and action movies.

The Samsung Digital Natural Image engine (DNIe) Video Enhancer refines all analog NTSC and wideband video inputs for an overall improvement in picture quality. DNIe improves contrast, white level, picture detail and incorporates digital noise reduction to improve lower quality video inputs. The 3D Y/C digital comb filter constantly analyzes the three dimensions of picture height, picture width, and picture changes-over-time to dramatically reduce edge image artifacts while improving transition detail. Other convenience features include:

Component video (also called Y/Pb/Pr) features a three-jack video input, which provides separate connections for luminance (Y), blue color difference (PB) and red color difference (PR). I've been shopping for a bedroom TV to mount on the wall. (We already have a very nice home theater setup for the media room with a 50" plasma, audiophile quality sound system yadda yadda). I looked at some bargain panels like the Syntax and Cosco models, thinking the bedroom wasn't going to be the place to watch lots of 1080i content anyway. I also don't need computer support. With some of the rebates and special deals on those budget panels, this thing ended up costing me nearly twice as much. As is almost always true, you get what you pay for. Interface is good, connectivity is good (mainly watch HD cable, no DVDs, no games, no PC for us on this TV). It is also thinner than some of the cheapo models which is a plus when wall mounting. Picture quality, black level, contrast all look good. There is some ghosting in sports and other fast-moving content, especially when the room is dark, but that's pretty standard for LCDs. I've not had any reliability issues after 2 months of intermittent use (2-4 hours/week).

Bottom line: Spend the extra cash, don't cheap out on an inferior product!

This LCD, for the money, is a fantastic value. A 32" inch Sony at the local retailer for $1,500 isn't even a match for the quality of picture and the cool all-white styling of this unit. You'll want to feature this thing wherever you put it!

The multitude of inputs is a huge bonus here, including an on-board HD tuner for aff-air, 2 full sets of RCAs, S-video, component and most importantly, 2 HDMIs. There are audio ouputs as well for headphones, as well as standard jacks and an optical out for Dolby Digital.

Menus are fairly easy to navigate, and the picture settings give tons of control. A little time spent tweaking will help give you the best results for your individual tastes, and almost every option you'd need to adjust is at your fingertips. Be sure to dig in. Colors explode, details pop, and adjusting the "energy saver" function will give you deep, solid blacks, a must from any LCD, and a feature many screens in this price range can't match.

A great all-around screen for HD, DVDs and anything else you can throw at it. Samsung has a winner here!

I've had this TV for about six months now and I don't have a single complaint. Not only is it a beautiful piece of equipment (I've received so many compliments on it), but it's ease of use, convenience and picture quality are beyond reproach.

Set up was a breeze. Just attach the stand, plug in your components and you're ready to enjoy. I was impressed with the S-video and composite connections on the side of the TV which makes connecting my iPod (and other devices) especially easy. Having two HDMI connections is a blessing that not many TVs seem to have. Also, being able to swivel the TV on the included stand has turned out to be a great feature that I'm using much more than I thought I would.

As for picture, well I'm no videophile, but I can see a huge improvement from my analog TV when watching DVD. Everything is crisp and I'm seeing details I hadn't noticed before. I've even been impressed with the internal speakers. A number of guests have commented on how clear and full the sound is.

Amazon's price is the lowest I have seen and there is no tax or shipping charge. So you'll save hundreds of dollars buying from Amazon. This is a perfect TV for any medium to small room, sure to bring you many years of HD enjoyment at a very reasonable price.
