Perfect for use with a digital cable, a satellite receiver, or a progressive-scan DVD player, the set is configured in a standard, 4:3 aspect ratio and accepts both standard-definition 480i and enhanced-definition 480p signals. A built-in NTSC stereo tuner is configured to receive the standard 181 channels. And with its lightning-quick 16 ms response time, high 500:1 contrast ratio, impressive 450 cd/m2 brightness rating, and onboard digital comb filter (which separates the color signals to minimize dot crawl and blurred edges), the set renders sharp, focused images that look great regardless of their source.
LCD screens offer a number of benefits over CRT monitors and televisions, including general ease of use, freedom from eye strain (no screen flickering or radiation emissions), quiet operation (no high-pitch "flyback" noise, an issue with CRT TVs), accurate image geometry (no curvature distortion or susceptibility to magnetic interference from, say, speakers), long screen life (with no risk of image burn-in), space savings, and light weight/easy positioning. They also tend to be cheaper and, to some eyes, slightly more natural looking than their plasma flat-panel counterparts, which usually "spec" higher (higher brightness, higher contrast ratio).
The LT-P2045 makes flexibility a top priority, giving you several preset picture and sound modes (and custom settings for each) as well as a handy swivel base that doubles as a tilting wall mount--no additional accessories required. The TV also permits color temperature adjustment for warm, cool, or neutral tones, along with a trilingual onscreen menu. Additional features include sleep and on timers, V-Chip parental control, closed captioning, and an auto volume leveler to minimize jarring level differences between, say, programs and their commercials.
Choose one of several preset sound modes (standard, music, movie, speech, and custom) for broadcast through the built-in 3-watts-per-channel x 2 speaker system. The television's MTS multichannel decoding separates audio signals for stereo reception and broadcasts a second audio program (SAP) when available for multilingual or other applications.
To connect the monitor to devices such as DTV set-top boxes, satellite receivers, DVD players, game consoles, or camcorders, use the set's component-video input (480i/480p), S-video input, composite-video input, RF input, and the above-mentioned PC input, each with its attendant audio inputs.
What's in the Box

Be prepared to be disappointed,
By Mark J (So. Cal) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Samsung LT-P2045 20-Inch Flat-Panel LCD TV (Electronics)
I was sure hoping for a lot more!
The PC input was the first thing that attracted me to this unit. I thought, Hey, I could use this as a second monitor and switch over to watch TV when needed. What could be better? Plus, this was an open-box unit that I got for hundreds less than the retail price so I snatched it up thinking, How bad could it be? Well to quote Elaine on Seinfeld, "Oh, it be!" The picture quality is the real issue (sound isn't an issue because you can always use computer speakers to improve that). In order to make viewing even tolerable you need to place it about 6 feet away from your eyeballs. So that makes using it as a computer monitor a useless proposition. Move it closer and the fuzziness will drive you crazy. Basically, it's a product that would have been quite acceptable 5 years ago, but with today's technology it's really disappointing. So here's a word of advice: Don't do what I did - buy on impulse. Instead, head out to your local electronics store and make sure you're totally satisfied with the picture quality before purchasing. If purchasing a unit with PC input, plug in a laptop and make sure you're happy with the image. Once you find the model you like, head back to the Web and shop wisely. Not following my own advice has probably cost me more than $100 in shipping return costs. Good luck!

Well, when i first connected it, I thought, eh, but then i thought, damn, I paid 235 dollars for this 20 inch television with a 4 year replacement warranty on it. So thats not so bad. Its not horrible but much like the other user review stated, you have to be a couple of feet away from it. Its a perfect offering for someone with a small bedroom that wants a good cable feed or something similar.

This LCD TV is awesome have a multiple and reliable use compare to just LCD itself and the price. I recommended this product especially if you love downloading big files or doing some office work and suddenly got bored, all you need to do is change the source and there you go instant TV with 180 channels to choose from.
