The LTM225W is a TFT active-matrix HDTV monitor with 1,280 x 720 resolution (W-XGA). Image quality is enhanced by a 3D Y/C comb filter, an extremely high contrast ratio (500:1), an exceptional peak brightness of 450 candles/square meter, and wide viewing angles (170 degrees by 170 degrees). Throw in 60,000-hour lamp life and PC and multichannel picture-in-picture with split-screen capability, and you're looking at a sweet little set.
Connections include one S-video input and two component-video inputs (one progressive-scan DVD-oriented 480i video input, one DTV-ready 480p/720p/1080i input), as well as a DVI input for your PC. A headphone jack affords private listening, and Virtual Dolby surround sound simulates surround sound from any two speakers.

An update,
By A Customer
This review is from: Samsung LTM225W 22-Inch LCD Flat-Panel TV (Electronics)
Hi again. I thought I would write an update to my review. Since then I built a new computer and I have a graphics card that supports 1280x720. It looks really good in both windows and linux. I haven't had as many problems with part of the screen dimming lately, but it still happens sometimes. I just read that review the guy wrote about his breaking down after 15 months.. I've had mine for 11 and I'm thankful it still works. It's not the worst experience I've had with equipment, but it's close. I paid like $1800 for this tv, which is less reliable than one of those tvs you can get at k-mart for $100. That is what really makes me mad about this product. The tv is pretty good as long as it works, but I never plan on buying another samsung product, especially if this one ends up dying on me after 15 months. Just don't even buy this tv. If you're going to buy a tv like this... do it from some place where you can get a warranty. I don't think Samsung even wanted you to know there was a warranty at all. It's on some boring looking sheet of paper that is easy to lose or throw away. It's not mentioned in the manual. I can only imagine what the support is like for this tv. Good luck to anyone who has one of these expensive bricks.

4 Stars when it works - Mine only last 15 months,

I had a Samsung LTM225W for 15 months and then it just went bad. (I replaced the power convertor to no avail). I'm now dealing with Samsung's extremely poor 12 month warranty offering. I've had TV last 20 years on me and now the most expensive TV I've ever bought didn't last 2 years! I'm very frustrated. If you buy Samsung products, consider getting an extended warranty plan since Samsung doesn't stand very firmly behind their products.

Same problem,

After 13 months the bottom 1/3 of the screen began to dim everytime the TV is on for 40 minutes. Amazing since the warranty is 12 months. Haven't tried to fix it yet. just will deal with it, I don't feel like dishing out more money. Besides that the picture is great.
