Samsung Leather Case for Samsung A460 Phones

This leather case is promoted as fitting the Samsung S105 phone, but the cutout in the vinyl cover for the microphone is on the right side, while the microphone on the S105 is on the left. I had to use a knife to make a cutout in the proper place, which inelegantly solved that problem. Another problem occurs, however, with how the glove on the "flipper" is attached to the body of the case: with a very strong elastic which prevents the flipper from closing firmly--it doesn't take much of a jar for the flipper to extend, all on its own.

This case may be adequate for the A460, but it is not appropriate for the S105.

Excellent quality leather case. fits like a glove, but the hole over where you speak into on the phone is covered. They punched the hole on the wrong side. Not a big deal, just get one of those hand paper hole punchers and re-punch the hole. Thats what I did to correct the problem.I highly recommend this case over the aftermarket brands.

This is a great phone case, fits perfectly. The mouth hole is on the correct side also. Real leather with a tradional "new car" scent.

(I think [if you are] dissatisfied with it [than you are]putting it on the S105 (T-Mobile), a similar but different phone, with the mouthpiece on the other side. The A460 is sold by Sprint.)

But the best thing is the price. I've seen a case for this phone at an electronics chain for [alot more]--and it wasn't even a Samsung product, but a knock off.

The only downside is that the stitching is a bit rough on the circle surrounding the front window. No big deal.

I bought this case basicaly, beacause it is the only one available. I must say it fits great. I never have trouble with the phone opening up by it self. And my microphone hole was on the left where it belongs. My only complaint it I wish it did not have a belt clip.

I am pleased with this leather case. It has holes in all the right places, including the microphone hole on the right side (unlike one of the previous postings & picture indicates - don't know if the posting was a fluke posting or not). I can't tell if the leather is immatation or not; but it is nice looking to me. The belt clip has a locking mechanism in which you have to press a little button to release. The belt clip may or may not not be wide enough for really wide belts. The price is the best price I found anywhere, including the manuafacturer's website.

The case protects against scratches etc. and is not to bad looking either. Additionally, I think Samsung rectified their mistake of punching the microphone hole on the wrong side, because mine was on the right side. The case fits well, has openings where there are openings needed (headphone jack etc.) and is comfortable to hold. There are just 2 things I was concerned with.

1. The case has a nasty smell (which hopefully may go away with time). It doesn't stick to your ear though.

2. The A460 is notorious for the way it's battery gets hot after 10 mins of talking. I'm afraid that that the leather is further reducing the battery's ability to cool down and I'm hoping that this will not have any long term repercussions. However, on the upside, the case protects your cheek and hand from the heat, so maybe this is a good thing!

In summation, I'd highly recommend the case to anyone with an A460.

Nice and soft leather, but the cut-outs don't match the S105! As the other reviewer said, the hole for the speaker is on the wrong side (what was Samsung thinking!), the IR port is covered, mic port is partially covered, and the color screen is left completely unprotected! The top of the keypad is also unprotected, but that's a smaller gripe. I bought a cheaper case elsewhere that fit the S105 perfectly.

Pros:
- It fits to my A460 (except the microphone hole).
- It's not the worst case on the market.
Cons:
- It's not made with "genuine full-grain leather" but with cheap leatherette.
- The cutout in the vinyl cover for the microphone is on the left side, while the microphone on the A460 is on the right.
