I had to exchange this case three times because the belt clip kept breaking. As a matter of fact, it just broke again for the fourth time today. The case though is very good looking and protects your phone way better than the holster. The clip will break in like one month tops. You should wait until Samsung corrects this mistake, just like one of the previous reviews said. One more thing that Samsung might want to take into consideration is adding a space on the bottom of the case so that you can charge your phone while in the case. I had to take a knife and scissors and cut one out myself. All in all, it's a pretty sturdy case except for THAT DARN BELT CLIP!

I've had my case for over a year now and am just now having to get back online to check out the reviews and put in my two cents worth. This case was great and it was only just 2 days ago that the clip broke; and I can understand why as I was quite persistant on clipping it over my belt as apposed to something thinner.

So regardless of the clip breaking, this was probably one of the best cases I've had for my phone. Basically I think the clip is less likely to break for some rather than others depending on what expectations one has in mind for it.

The phone case is nice made from soft leather with a nice Samsung logo on it. The clip however is cheap plastic that makes the case twice as wide. I can see the clip breaking easily. I wish the clip was more slim line so it doesn't feel like you are lugging a suitcase on your hip.

This case is actually quite well designed, it fits the phone snuggly, and is comfortable to wear on the belt - until - the locking mechanism breaks, which took only about one week of daily use. The problem seems to be the rather flimsy plastic pin contraption that locks the case into the belt clip. Once this 2 cent pin breaks, which happened easily and without any abuse, the case is actually worse than useless, because now your new $ 300 phone can simply fall off the belt.

My recommendation: Don't buy it now - wait for Samsung to fix this flaw. In the meantime,consider other, third party, cases, but check the beltclip design!

Summary: Nice design, badly executed. Disappointing product from one of the leading cellphone manufacturers.

I found this to be a great case. I am using it with the new Samsung a610. I don't know what these other reviewers are talking about when they call this a cheap, flimsy clip on the leather case. It is just fine! These guys must use it as a hockey puck! We're talking about a $250.00 phone here folks! Perhaps a little extra care might just be in order? It also has the nice feature of allowing removal of the case from the clip with a push on a very solid spring release. Great case. Not cheap and flimsy at all.
