4.0 out of 5 stars Good for small ear openings
My ear openings are smaller than most and it is difficult to find something which fits. Usually I have to use an ear loop (2 included), but with this device, I don't have to. The stereo phones work acceptably, not a lot of volume, and static once in a while, but it's rare. It also comes with a clip so you can clip it to your shirt when you are using it as a headphone...

This works for phone calls, but not very good for listening to music or podcasts.

When used with my iPhone 4 it says it's connected after a couple of seconds, but if you start playing audio it doesn't play immediately. It takes 30-60 additional seconds for the sound to play from the earpiece. To make matters worse, the iPhone thinks it's connected and playing so it advances it's counter and you end up skipping over 30-60 seconds of content before the sound kicks in.

Note that this doesn't have any kind of audio controls on the headset. It has up/down volume buttons and a button for answering phone calls. There are no buttons for changing tracks and not even a play/pause button. You have to do all the audio controls on your phone/device.

Also note that the plug for the stereo headphones is not a standard jack. You'd need an adapter (assuming they make one) to plug in your own headphones.

The dual device connection feature seems intended for use with an audio/music source and a phone. It doesn't do anything useful when trying to use two audio sources. It doesn't auto detect which one is playing and you can't easily switch between them.

On the positive side, range was decent and it had very good resistance to interference from other wireless devices.

UPDATE: The problem of being slow to connect and not playing audio immediately turned out to be a problem with the "dual port" mode used for connecting to two devices at once. It was probably trying to find the other device, which wasn't turned on. I turned off the dual port mode and now it connects to my iPhone and starts playing audio very quickly.

I found another minor problem...when listening to audio iPhone, hit the talk button to activate voice control, then place a phone call. When the call is done, hit the talk button to hang up. The audio does not resume playing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for small ear openings, November 12, 2010

The plus is that there is an actual on/off toggle switch, unlike a button for most of these devices. The minus is with my Droid, I seem to have to sever the connection from my phone, or the bluetooth pairing gets confused and sometimes doesn't work properly. Unpairing and re-pairing fixes the problem. All in all, I am satisfied with the device for the past month I have been using it.

I have been using this product for 2 weeks. It's quite good in clarity and sustaining the signal strength. Stereo system is also good.

1.0 out of 5 stars Earhook easy to break and not replaceable, January 2, 2011
This review is from: Samsung M3500 Mono to Stereo dual BT headset (Electronics)
I had the HM3500 for one day before the earhook broke (it is designed to be removable but is quite easy to break). I contacted Samsung and they said:

"Thank you for your inquiry. Apparently, we do not replace any headset and it will not be covered under Samsung Limited Warranty since it will be tagged as physical damage.

Thank you for your understanding and patience."

My advice: Take good care of your earhook or buy a different headset.

3.0 out of 5 stars Muffled Sound, October 9, 2011

I really wanted to love this headset and in some ways I do. It's very easy to use, convenient on/off switch, sleek small design and pairs immediately with my phone once it's switched on (my other headset required I "accept" the pairing on my phone when I turned the headset on). I can hear clearly on my end of a call but have had frequent comments from those on the receiving end that I sound muffled. It's also not as comfortable in my ear as it could be and the plastic ear hook, though not uncomfortable, doesn't fit snugly and doesn't want to stay behind the ear. It's my second try at a replacement for my old headset and will keep it, but wish the sound on the receiving end was better. I'll try another style when it's time to replace it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good A2DP bluetooth for the price., January 26, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Samsung M3500 Mono to Stereo dual BT headset (Electronics)
I have had this bluetooth for several weeks and have been happy with it. There seems to be crackling sometimes, it could be the phone (EVO) or the distance/location relationship of the phone and the headset.

2.0 out of 5 stars the ear buds have no ergonomic!, September 18, 2010

well, it works in some way. it sounds fine and easy to operate.
however, the ear buds are just awful, there's no ergonomic and
it doesn't stay/fit my ears with any of the soft gel sizes. also,
the charger/headset small cover remains stuck-around once the
plug is used with the earphons/headst (actually, it is shown in the
small capture of above). I'm kind of surprised by
Samsung user experience it delivers.
