Very Nice!!!,

I was looking for the better cost/benefit and I can assure that you can buy this one. It works with 2 AAA batteries, comes with a nice remote control and also it comes with an adapter to use two extras AA batteries outside the player. The power supply is a battery eliminator and battery charger when you use two AAA rechargable batteries (recharges only the batteries that come inside the device). It doesn't have ID3 reader (doesn't show music names), I dont care, but works nice with as many directories you might have on your CD (accepts read only cds and r/w cds). The battery life is good: 4-5 hours with good AAA cells in MP3 mode, with the AA cells I did not measured yet, but you can use both same time to increase play time. The skip mechanism is very good but it will consune your batteries faster. When playing MP3 the skip protection is not used, it is used only for regular music CDs. In fact when in MP3 mode I never heard a skip, trust me.

I've just receive my Samsung CD/MP3 player. I ordered the MDC MP65 last week and I was pleased to receive the new MP67 for the same price (179,99$ canadian). I love it ! It looks very nice, cannot read id-tags, but that's not a problem for me. Sound quality is very good, and the anti-skip for the new MP67 is now 100 sec.Warning : if you are a Macintosh user, the player will not be able to read MP3 with long names. You should better burn your CD's in ISO or PC format.

Excellent gadget. I love to store over 150 songs in one 0.50 CD and play them. Though, here are its flaws:1. No Song name display It has a great Album feature, where you can store folders (Artists p.eg) and skip between them. 100 secs Antishcok: I ve dropped it and it continued to play. I know that there is a coming version with Song name display: 67H. Great Value.

First I must point out ... [that Samsung's web site claims ID3 tag support] as a feature, and the player does NOT support tagging....Besides the lack of ID3 tag support, this CD MP3 player is great. The sound quality can't be beat and the remote makes operation very handy. What with the low price, this is probably one of the better players around. It seems the players that come with ID3 tagging often don't have the remote, which I feel is necessary for what I'm using it for. I'd rather have the remote than the tag support. And for the price, who can complain? At least it does support folders/albums. You can navigate by album and song number--just print out a numbered index of what's on the CD. If you want to know what's playing, just refer to your list. I did find that this player does not support Packet-written CD-Rs and CD-RWs, which is a bit of an inconvenience but no big deal. Battery life is average; none of these portable players will last forever on one set of batteries. It does support NiMH rechargables. The default is 2 AAAs but the player comes with a battery pack that takes an extra 2 AAs for longer life. The player comes with a AC adapter that will charge the AAAs. The earbuds are good quality, no need to buy new ones. Overall, the sound quality is the biggest plus, and no amount of frills can make up for a player with sub-average sound. For this price range, and for people who need a remote more than tag support, I would highly recommend the Samsung.

This is a pretty good unit, but some minor imperfections forces me to rate it a 4 instead of a 5. First off, remote is nice, but would be better if it had an LCD display. Battery life is only 2 hours and 40 mins. Also, the LCD DOES NOT display the mp3 title. Overall this is one of the best units out there. It would be nice if the future models included am/fm, and corrected the problems I stated above.

I purchased this item because I was going to be taking a 19 hour bus ride and I wanted something handy, without having to switch cds all the time. My player plays mp3s and they sound great. Naturally, if you have a bad quality mp3 file, it's going to sound bad on this player. I had a few problems where I would put in my mp3 disc and it would say that there were 47 songs, when I knew that there were 163 or more...so I would take out the disc and put it back in and then it would read properly.I have since learned that I have been making my mp3 cds wrong. I was dragging and dropping them on to the disc, a few songs at a time. The proper way, so I've been told, is to use your cd creator program and make a data cd once you have all your files. I've since made a cd that way and have NO problems. As to the earbuds, they are extremely comfortable, unlike the others I've had that really hurt the ears. The player is lightweight and the remote control thinger is extremely handy. I don't care if it doesn't name the mp3s right on the player, I made myself a cover, yes, I spent the extra hour and typed out all my songs...saves mixing up cds as well. I prefer the aluminum case to the plastic ones you can get. I'll finish by saying that I have had NO problems with my cds, except for the fact that I wasn't making the discs properly. I'd recommend this product. P.S. There are also some mp3s that WILL NOT play in any media program on my computer, so I would recommend testing your mp3s on your cd creator program before breaking a cd.

I rated this product five stars because this mp3 CD player has its own unique design, sound quality, and reasonable price. It has remote control that i did not expect and you can use both AA or AAA batteries. What I really like most is that this player has 100 seconds anti-shock. You better get one now....

THIS THING [STINKS}!!!!!!!!!!!!,

I got it and it did NOT read CD-RWs. The remote is for a 4-year old's hands. It cuts out about 10 seconds off the end of each song. It stops about every 70 seconds to buffer more music, then doesnt start again for a while. It takes up a lot of room to be able to use the AA batteries. No sound quality. Those were just some of the problems. IT [stinks]!!!My advise for those who already wasted a bill is to take it back and say its defective and get a Riovolt.

first, compared to every other CD/MP3 player that you can purchase right now, the Samsung just feels plain rugged. People say that aluminum dents easily and all, but the player feels absolutely solid and my last aluminum cd-player (Panasonic SL-SX510) has lasted me for 2 years and hundreds of drops. it also doesn't hurt that this thing just looks plain sexy. needless to say, this was the first selling point for me.this player has an amazing decoding engine under the lid. all the music i threw at it (usually 160-256kbps) sound great with nice highs and pretty good bass reproduction once you turn on the SBS feature. the included headphones are the standard variety (cheap), and the S/N ratio isn't too hot. i could hear a slight hiss in the background even if i pause the music. the startup time for the player depends on how many mp3's you have on your CD. my 700MB CDR with 115 songs took close to 40 seconds before a song was played after turning it on. there are no such thing as playlists or even id3 tags according to this player. song management consists of 'albums' which are nothing more than directories inside the CD. hitting the handy 'album' button (this feature can even be turned off) will result in skipping to the next directory. Songs on the LCD will show first the song number in the directory, then the number of the directory itself. if you listen to a mp3 cd long enough, you'll remember which directory is which. the negatives are what drops this product down for me. battery life is absolutely horrid using standard AAA batteries. anyone who wants to use Rechargable batteries will have to make due with 3-4 hours TOPS with this player (btw, this time goes up to 5 hours if you just play standard AudioCDs). using AA batteries with the included 'backpack' expands it to 10-12, but the look is pretty ugly. you can tell that the add-on backpack was produced by an outside company. my old panasonic cd-player managed 9 hours on AAA batteries, and up to 25 with an added 'backpack' (which looks much better IMO). the remote included is handy, but again, it feels extremely cheap and looks to be made by an outside company. the previous/next buttons are about as wide as an average person's fingernail and very hard to press down. i also wish that instead of the 'Mode' button (for repeat/repeat 1) they replaced that with the 'album' button. since this player is usually in my bookbag, it's pretty inconvenient to keep hitting 'next' if i want to get to the next album. end result - battery life is tolerable as long as you use the extra backpack, and this player is absolutely rugged in construction and should last you for a long time. mp3 reproduction is fantastic, although the startup time could be a bit of a hassle. if you're looking for id3 and/or playlist playback, do not purchase this. if you can live without text scrolling across the LCD, this is a pretty good player to get. just buy new headphones and maybe some rechargable batteries.

Hey! Just writing to tell you people how awesome this product is. I just got this and I am really impressed. This thing just doesnt skip. It just doesnt, and I have dropped it too, but heck, it still works! It supports MP3 and CD with good quality, has all the good stuff, althought the remote is pretty [bad]. Its worth getting. Theres also this funny face that shows up on the screen when you lisen to music, anyway, everyone at school likes it, so get on and show it off too.....
