Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Printing at a brisk 12 ppm (pages per minute), the ML-1250 features a 66 MHz processor for speedy printing. The printer also offers luxurious 1,200 dpi resolution and 4 MB memory capacity, but is also markedly economical, including a toner-saving mode that can help you use 30 percent less toner, printing 3,500 pages with one cartridge compared to 2,500 pages in normal mode.

Three one-touch buttons let you do simple commands quickly, including reprint, toner save, and cancel.

The printer includes a 150-sheet, multipurpose input tray and extra sheet feeder, and is compatible with Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, and 2000, and offers Linux and iMac support. The ML-1250 includes a one-year warranty with Samsung's "total exchange" program.

From the Manufacturer

The ML-1250 printer is a step up in print quality from the Samsung ML-1210. The ML-1250 offers many of the same advantages of the 1210, including a Toner Save mode to reduce toner consumption by up to 30 percent, and N-up Printing to print up to 16 pages to a single sheet of paper. In addition, the ML-1250 enhances the overall quality to 1,200 x 600 dpi.

The ML-1250 prints up to 12 ppm (pages per minute) and comes with a 150-sheet tray for standard paper, plus a document feeder for other media types, such as envelopes, labels, or transparencies.

The ML-1250 also offers convenience in the form of one-touch buttons and Paper Jam Free Technology that reduces jams and curls. With a single touch you can reprint the last page, even if your PC is off or working on another job. Canceling a print job is also accomplished with the simple press of a button.

Offering parallel and USB ports, the ML-1250 is compatible with almost any system configuration, including iMac, Linux, and Windows 95, NT 4.0, and later.

At only 13 by 13.9 by 9 inches, the ML-1250 has a small footprint for easy placement. Samsung offers a one-year total exchange policy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Good Buy, September 17, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Samsung ML-1250 Laser Printer (Office Product)
This printer is a great buy. It is very fast, efficient, crisp, and clean. The quality of the images is wonderful. One thing that Samsung fails to mention is that a cable for connecting the printer to the computer is not included, but since those don't cost that much, it isn't a huge deal. Also, Samsung is shipping out the new 1250's with the PCL 6 driver for windows xp included on a disk with the printer, as well as drivers for all the other systems on that same disk.

However, you should be forewarned that the printer includes a function that allows you to reprint the last document printer (which can be good or bad thing, depending on whether or not you want people to see the document you just printed). Also, it does not have an automatic on/off function like some other lasers do; but instead it has a switch in the back. In addition, this printer has no network capabilities, so it is great for single users but won't work if put on a network. Lastly, do not use the plug and play driver for the Samsung ML-1250 included with Windows XP, instead use the driver that is included on the disk.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a fantastic printer!!!, September 16, 2002
This review is from: Samsung ML-1250 Laser Printer (Office Product)
I have been using this printer on a daily basis for about six months now. It has never given me any trouble, and was a breeze to set up. It even has a toner extension feature that gives you almost twice as many pages per cartridge, and the reduction is quality is not noticable unless you are doing a side by side comparison with the "non-saver" mode. I am just thrilled with this purchase, and recommend the printer to anyone that is looking for an inexpensive laser.

5.0 out of 5 stars Changed my Life! Wonderful!, November 16, 2002
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Samsung ML-1250 Laser Printer (Office Product)
After having a inkjet printer for the past 5 years I decided to finally get a black ink laser after realizing I don't need color. I went with Samsung 1250 because of various write ups - it has never let me down! I have several computers networked and it works wonderfully without a hitch for all computers. True, it might be a little loud when it starts up and prints but what you gain in quality and overall computing enhancement far far outweighs the slight increase in sound. I recommend highly without reservation!
