This is a Samsung brand toner cartridge, so there isn't a lot to say about it. It worked perfectly, was easy to install and came with a postage paid return label and packaging to send to the old cartridge back for recycling.

Understand, this is no techno-genius writing this review. Just an older guy who wanted a dedicated black and white laser printer and the Samsung ML-D2850 has proven to be a fairly good one for my purposes. i.e. letters, documents, scripts, and printouts from on-line articles. After a few months of use I have only two major objections, but they are big ones. The first is the cost of the toner cartridge - it seems far too expensive for the number of pages it covers. This is no surprise to me, it represents the usual trickery of printer manufacturers. All of them lure us in with an attractive printer at modest cost, then sock it to us every time we need to replace a toner cartridge so that if feels like we are buying the printer over again every time we need a new cartridge. There is really no excuse for the cost of these cartridges other than manufacturer's greed, and their sense that they got us where they want us. It was far worse when I had an HP color jet printer that could drive you nuts with its demand for yet another expensive magenta or baby blue ink - inks I never used but their absence would keep a printer from working in the black which I mainly used. The other annoying failing of the Samsung is paper jams. I've learned never to print out a hundred page document in one print command. It works best when a task is broken up into segments, twenty pages at a time. And Gawd help you when it does jam. There seems to be no effective release of the paper mechanism, so you take a deep breath, fiddle with the back which needs to be opened, pull the end of the jammed paper hard, pray that it doesn't rip and become the corpse in the machine that will keep it from ever working again. That said, I kinda like this product - but it sure could be a lot better.

This cartridge prints unevenly and very weakly. It's as if the platten is already worn out or they did not load enough toner. Either way, not acceptable for business use or anything other than draft. Pass it buy.

I bought the genuine Samsung toner replacement for my Samsung printer. It installed easily, but immediately caused printer jams. Every sheet fed part way through and stopped. I gave up and returned it to Amazon and ordered another one, thinking something was just wrong with the first one. The second one behaved the same way. I returned it too. My husband even called Samsung tech support and they didn't really have any suggestion, other than to buy the (higher priced) toner from their own parts department.

If you do not need color and are in need of a good fast simple printer this is a great choice. I replaced a HP 3600 color laser that was very expensive to run. This printer is ideal for what we do in our dental office (ins forms, receipts, reports). We have an inkjet printer for any jobs requiring color. Easy to network and cheap to use.
