Samsung's Maxima Zoom 70GL is a fully automatic, 35mm point-and-shoot with a built-in 2x power zoom lens and a real-image zoom viewfinder. The Zoom 70GL uses an active infrared autofocus system and includes a built-in electronic flash and Red-Eye Reduction, Fill-in, and Flash-off modes. Film loading, advancing, and rewinding are all automatic, and midroll film rewind is possible. Both date imprinting and self-timing are optional. After three idle minutes, the Zoom 70Gl turns itself off to preserve battery life.

I bought this camera for my teenage son. The pictures were crisp and the features very easy to use. On a recent vacation, my personal camera broke and I used my son's camera. I was very surprised that the pictures I took with it were as good or better than the ones I had taken with a more expensive camera.

I'll admit, the only reason I chose a Samsung over a Canon was because of the price. However, I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find that the Samsung's performance was just as good as my comparable Canon that cost me almost 60% more. Because of its small size, this camera is very convenient to carry around to any type of function. Its got all of the same functions that you'd find in an expensive Canon. And the picture quality is A++. Canons are extremely good cameras, but I will never overlook a Samsung again.
