WIFI Is the default setting on this remote for extended range if you have a wifi lan stick. However, with the tap of the touchscreen you can switch the remote to infrared only mode and operate your 2010 compatible Samsung panel (in my case, the PN50C7000). I seamlessly linked up my Samsung Blu Ray player and my Yamaha Home Theater to this remote. For me, it comes fully as advertised. Very pleased with the product. A++ Well done Samsung, and thank you for making this available for owners who didn't shell out $5000 for the 9000 series panel!!

At first, it seemed like a good idea. One remote to control all your components. You have make sure that it's compatible with your Samsung TV. I believe it works for the C7000 models and above. It's included with the higher end C9000 series. Anyway, I purchased this remote expecting that it would have the same functionality as the C9000 series remotes (ie. twin view, universal remote, etc...) However, playing with this thing now for a couple of weeks leaves me disappointed. For starters, twin view only works for C9000 model tvs. Secondly, you have to control your TV only through WIFI. For some reason, you can't use it as a regular remote via IR. If you get poor wifi reception where your TV is located then you really can't use this remote with your tv. Thirdly, it doesn't really control all your components as it says. For example, it can't control your PS3.

I recommend NOT purchasing this product and purchasing a Logitech Harmony instead. Perhaps some day, through a firmware update, the remote may include more functionality.

Great idea but the engineers need to put more thought into the design.
