This review is from: Samsung Replacement USB Data Charging Cable for Samsung SPH-M330, SCH-R100, SGH-T939, and SCH-R850 (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I ordered these cables on Amazon after pricing them all over the web. They arrived in just over four days, well in advance of the estimated delivery date. The cables are Samsung OEM stock, exactly as advertised. Data transfer and charging works just fine on my Samsung Vibrant.
From one of the posted reviews I knew the cable would be considerably shorter than the cable that came with my cell phone, and it is. I measured it at 30" which is actually quite shorter than you might think. Consider where you will be charging your phone from, or where you'll need to place your phone in relation to your computer or DC plug in your car and make sure 30" is enough. But for $1.29, you can't beat it. One very positive note. The cable was priced at $1.29, with shipping stated to be $3.98. I bought four cables but was not charged $3.98 shipping for each cable. Instead, I was charged $7.96, which would be for two cables. I'm sure weight had something to do with it. Place the items in your cart and carefully view the shipping charges before placing the order.

I wanted to have a second sync and charging cable at my office so I don't have to carry one around. This cable is packed with a Samsung label so it's not a no-name product.
It's half as long as the cable that came with my phone. That's great. The original one is too big to carry around and there is less clutter on my desktop from excess wire. It's less stiff than the original -- again, better for transporting. It does both sync and charging for my Samsung Focus Windows Phone 7. The price was fair and I like all of its qualities.

Plays nicely with Kindle Fire,

Bought this to connect my newly purchased Kindle Fire to my Mac so that I could finally get around to transferring some non-Amazon content to the Kindle. The Kindle Fire, it should be noted, came only with an AC adapter and not the required USB-->Micro USB cord that is required for USB file transfers. For a fraction of what most other USB-->Micro USB cords cost (including the Amazon Basics version), I have had no problems transferring content onto my Fire. The cord charges the Kindle as well. Long story short: Do not pay more than a few bucks for this cord if you are looking to connect your Kindle to a computer, as any USB-->Micro USB cord (especially this one) should work just fine.

Not a Samsung Replacement for Galaxy S, does not fit into socket. Not the Item in the picture. You can hold it in place if you are in a pinch, otherwise, this thing is useless. I'm going to try and shave the housing and see if i can get it to click in.

The title and description for this item claimed it to be a microUSB cable. It is not. The connector is too wide for MicroUSB. Instead it is a proprietary cable for the mentioned phones. If you are looking for a MicroUSB cable, this is not it.

Ordered one of these in January 2011 and it was exactly as advertised - the exact same OEM cable that came with my Samsung Captivate, labeled with Samsung label, etc, and it worked just as well as the original. Ordered two more in late July 2011 (using exact same product listing, from my order history) and what I received was labeled on the plastic bags as supposedly Samsung, but I immediately knew something was wrong since I could see not only a cable, but also AN AC WALL ADAPTER in each package!
I opened the plastic bag on one, and found inside a Motorola SPN5504/SKN5004A micro-USB Home and Travel Charger with USB to Micro-USB cable; basically the Motorola equivalent to the Samsung product. My Samsung charger and cable are rated at 5.0V/700mA output; the Motorola is labeled as 5.1V/850mA output, so it should charge my Captivate just as fast. The Motorola cable is 36" long, 5/32" diameter; my Samsung cable is 60" long, 4/32" (1/8") diameter. Since this was a Ships From and Sold By Amazon item (not from 3rd-party seller), I'm more than a little surprised at this error/substitution! My concern was with the Micro-USB end of the cable fitting into the socket on my Captivate correctly - the Samsung cable has a very thin housing molded onto the connector, since the socket on a Captivate has limited space around it. Not all cables will fit and seat deeply enough to work properly. So far I've tested: a) the Motorola cable using my Samsung wall charger; b) the Motorola cable using the Motorola wall charger; c) the Motorola cable plugged into my computer; d) my Samsung cable using the Motorola wall charger in all cases, my phone seems to charge properly. The Motorola cable also appears to function properly as a data transfer cable just like the Samsung OEM cable, when plugged into a computer. So I guess I shouldn't fuss much since I ended up with two wall adapters for free in addition to the cables I thought I was ordering, since everything seems to work properly. I'm just very surprised to see Amazon selling Motorola products in bags with Samsung labels on them and advertising them as OEM Samsung products! (It wouldn't surprise me to see this from a 3rd-party seller/Amazon Marketplace seller) Note: at the time I ordered these, the price I paid for the "Samsung cable" was $2.11; the current price for the Motorola cable+charger at the link above is $3.66; and current price for the Samsung OEM charger + cable (Samsung ETA0U60JBE OEM USB Travel Charger Adapter with Data Cable MicroUSB - Bulk Packaging - Black) is $4.39... so I suppose I got a great deal!

I ordered two of these cables and while the price is right I really wonder about the quality. Both cables appear to be OEM stock, but one is only 30" while the other is closer to 58". While the individual wrappers for each cable had the same barcode, the actual product numbers on the cables themselves differ. The product number on the 30" cord matches that which is advertised here while the product number on the other cable did not. It really seems that what's being sold here is second-hand stock.

These cords are dirt cheap but you get what you pay for. They do indeed work and power (and sync) my phone, but they just trickle charge it, and my phone will have just marginally more charge when I unplug it. The cord is so small that it can't handle enough mA to charge it properly. Go with another one.HTC Evo Shift 4G - Sprint

Nowhere in the description did it state the length. I wouldn't have bought if I'd known they were only 3 feet long. They work for data and charging on my Samsung Epic 4G.
