Just as I was buying this printer I started a new career as a Print Management Specialist dealing with controlling print costs for office laser printers. So I get to see a lot of printers now. This product had rave reviews on Amazon and very few negative reviews. I thought it was a good buy at $130 but I've only had the printer for a couple months and have printed a total of 150 pages. The machine has jammed several times while we were trying to print from the computer. Now the machine has developed loud squeaking, I'm assuming it is the feed rollers or something. This is not a good sign. Also the paper has always come out with undesirable waves in it from passing through the printer. It is a clearly symmetrical wavy pattern on the page but undesirable if you're quality conscious at all. Sincerely I wished all the good reviews were going to be my experience but now I wish I had waited until I knew a little more. It is a disappointing start for a brand spanking new machine.

Don "Print Management Specialist"

I bought this printer after Vista wouldn't support my old HP 1012. I am extremely pleased: contrary to the norm in managing new hardware, it worked precisely as advertised and exceeded my expectations.

Strengths:
(1) very, very reasonable price
(2) quiet, efficient printing (for home office use)
(3) small footprint
(4) efficient copying and scanning
(5) reasonable power usage
(6) quiet standby operation

Highest recommendation.

I bought this printer largely because of its Consumer Reports rating, and have not been disappointed.It was easy to install on my e-mac, print quality is very good, and the small tidy footprint lets me keep it on the bottom shelf of my little el cheapo computer table, without bother. It sends the printed sheets out the front-very handy. This is the nicest home printer I've had-I recommend it enthusiastically, and hope that it will prove as durable as it is convenient.

I've been very happy with this product. It is much smaller than other multifunction lasers and Amazon had an incredible price. I was able to set up the printer and use the copier in about 15 minutes. The only reason I'm not giving this product 5 stars is because I had trouble getting the scanner to work on my computer.

I just got this. It installed easily; works as expected. This printer got a great rating from "Consumer Reports" which is why I bought it.

It took me a few minutes to figure out that one does not use a "scan" command to operate the "scanner" for many documents but that the "insert" command works within most microsoft products to capture scanned copies from the printer.

Once I figured that out, I was "pleased as punch" with the purchase. Printer is quiet, fast, high in quality.

I have had this printer for a few weeks now, so I have had some time to check it out. It is as good as it sounds. It prints very high quality very quickly and the humming sound that others complain about is actually not really noticeable. It even printed on card stock, although I can't say that it sounded like it enjoyed printing on it... I would absolutely recommend this product to others. (I have already.) The first time I used it I had to print over 160 pages quickly and in the end there was still no sound of tiring.

I initially bought a HP inkjet all-in-one printer for my parents' house but after 2 years of spending so much money on ink (pretty much had to buy ink about every 2 months), it finally started to break down. I decided it was time to get a new printer for them--this time a laser. I did a lot of searching and reading reviews before settling on getting this Samsung multifunction printer (and I'm glad I did!). This Samsung printer is an OK size..not too big but not very small either (what do you expect for a laser printer..) but it's a decent size. I love the fact that this printer is energy star compliant (it goes to "sleep" mode when not in use but takes less than a minute to load up when you need to print). Printer is not extremely loud when printing but it does make noise (nothing too bothersome). Printing quality is excellent (a lot more crisp & clear than my inkjet before). Copier function is also good (copies comes out fast and clear as original). I haven't tried the scanner function yet but I'm sure that it works great also. The price on Amazon for this printer cannot be beat! (I bought mine for $154). Although toner was a bit pricey ($68 but should last for awhile; FYI, printer comes with toner but I bought one as backup extra) but I'm sure that the money I put out before for the inkjet was way more than that so can't complain. The only drawback I would say with this printer is that it's not duplex printing, doesn't have wireless networking (or so I'm aware), and no color printing. The three cons listed is not a priority to me so I am very happy with this purchase. If you need a monochrome multifunction laser printer that is efficient and also an energy-saver then this printer works great. (I am moving out on my own soon and am planning to buy this printer for my own home also.)

This grayscale printer copier and (yes!) color scanner is great. It is wonderful to have a copier in the house when paying bills. My 8 year old daughter uses the copier and printer quite often too. Print quality is great. The scanner works well, but you need to initiate that through the PC. The first time I tried the scanner I was thrilled that it returned a color scan with great detail. The b&w photocopier works well for most things. Rarely need to adjust darkness when copying. It prints at a very fast page per minute compared to my deskjet. This is a great time saver and I'm saving on print cost/page too. We only use our deskjet for color prints now. The fan noise at warmup is a little loud if you sit right next to it, but it is fairly quiet while printing and silent in powersaving mode. There is no fax, but I can scan and e-mail everything. I use it with a Windows Vista laptop and Windows XP workstation. I would buy another one in a minute!

I've had it for a couple of months now and I don't even know how to use all the features/software that came with it but so far it's been great. I use it to scan and print. There's some pretty good software that comes with it that has a lot of options. The first print takes about 11 seconds from a cold start but after that they spit out back to back. The print quality is pretty good (but I haven't used lazer paper yet). I just like that fact that it works everytime I need to print and I don't have to worry about running out of ink every 2 months (ink jet junk!). At the rate I use it, I shouldn't have to buy another toner cartridge for 2 years. And when I do, they're pretty reasonable. Excellent buy for someone who is sick and tired of buying ink jet cartridges all the time and you don't mind giving up color. I highly reccomend this product.

I just purchased this printer and I am very excited about it, only thing is that it doesn't come with a USB cable so I haven't been able to hook it up to my printer yet. So I just wanted to warn anyone who is about to purchase this, if you don't already have a cable, make sure to buy one along with this printer since it doesn't come in the box.
