This little TV is great for in the kitchen--my wife loves it. Now all the satellite channels are available, and the cost is only $5 a month for adding this on to our regular DirecTV subscription.
To make it perfect, I would like these additional features: (1) An over-the-air tuner to use without DirecTV. (2) More picture format choices like other Samsung recievers; wide, panorama, zoom, etc. This one has only widescreen and normal. (3) Since it has the 9x16 screen, it would be nice if it displayed the hi-def channels even though they would be in standard resolution.

I was looking for a small kitchen set and this one is just what I was looking for. It's small, tucks up under when not in use, has a great picture and sound!

I initially loved this LCD TV. It was perfect for the kitchen, great screen size and picture, and reasonable deal for the screen size. Then the picture started to flicker. I returned it after 3 weeks and ordered a new unit. Then this model did the same thing. The screen will flicker and lose color. This is a huge disappointment, I wanted to like this LCD very badly. It is a great idea, but Samsung needs to improve this product before any more people get burned.

This TV is a really good idea with poor execution. If you want a TV in a small space without wires and a big unit, like under counter in kitchen this is a good idea. The sound is also quite good for such a tiny little box. Unfortunately most of these seem to be flaky. Mine will flicker or have a line through it unless you jiggle it until it stops. Of course they are out of production now so the point is somewhat moot, except for used ones that appear from time to time

This product performs great. If you have DirecTV, this is a good under-counter solution for tight space conditions.
