It's a receipt printer and there's no need to make things complicated. The Samsung (Bixolon) printer is simple to operate; up and running in less than 3 minutes out of the box. Comes with a driver CD and works flawlessly on Vista. Unpack it, insert the paper (drop straight in and leave a a bit hanging out), close the lid, plug in the power and USB cords, turn it on and print! The feed is fast, the cutter is clean and the print quality is good. Maybe a little light at first. With it's USB connection and driver settings, the SRP350 shows up just like any other printer, so you can literally print anything to it. You can make custom invoices like I did through MS Excel or any other program. Even graphics print well, so I'm not sure what the other critiques are talking about. The sample paper roll is pretty healthy so no need to run out and by more for at least a little while. Take note that there is no supplied USB interface cable (as stated). If you are just beginning your small business or even run a large one, this printer will do the trick. There's not much to it and there doesn't have to be!

It's a good product. Does not include any cable or parallel, but in any electronics store, you can get it for 10 dollars. I set up a sheet in Microsoft Word and I'm using the printer with that program.

This is a good printer which does what we need it to do with little fuss. The only downside is that the users manual and included software CD are not exactly world class. I was able to figure everything out, but compared to the best of modern electronics products these fell short.

That said, I plan to buy another one of these printers when we open our third toy store location because it gets the job done with minimal fuss and at a very good price. Comparable printers from Epson or Star seem to be more expensive.

I was looking for a plug and play printer and this one works great with POS, no issues. Good value.

it's a good thing they are cheap, they break easily. Well... i have two broken out of 15, so i guess that's not so bad. They are USB instead of serial which makes it easy for mobile POS applications.

Although it is a bit confusing because it is listed as a Samsung but is actually a Bixolon (sister company?) printer and installs as such. I have had some problems after unplugging and plugging back in in a different usb port I had to uninstall and reinstall the printer. Other than that it has been a trouble free, easy to reload with paper, and decently fast receipt printer.

This is perfect for my needs, efficient and lightweight. Love the big paper roll for fewer change-outs.

Wrong products.. Its parallel interface not USB... does not prints logos correctly... Got it wrong 2 times. I wish its corrected on the website and is not shown as USB. I bought the parallel to USB cable from local electronic store.. printer is not good.. does not print good quality logos...

WHEN the printer decided to print, the print is miniscule. 99% of the time, it won't print, even though I get the message that it is ready and it shows items to be printed in the que. I can't seem to find the seller about an exchange. Frustrating

the printer is a very good buy
but the shipping service of amazon.com is very poor i ordred this printer on the 23rd of aug 2010 and it is been 4 days and it is not even shipped.
