Great 3D but awkward design
on August 10, 2012
You can't beat the price for these 3D glasses. It's a smart way to keep several pair on hand for guests, but I'm not convinced they are the best glasses for primary use. The 3D effect is very good, I have no complaints about that. However, the design is seriously lacking, in my personal opinion.
The glasses don't have sides and even the tops are open, so they let in too much light and other distractions. I really don't think it would have cost more than a few cents more to offer better coverage, and I would be willing to pay even an additional $5 for that tiny bit of extra plastic. I'm considering picking up some soft black fabric and a hot glue gun to make side curtains :)
The glasses do not fold, so they are awkward to store. The box they came in won't work for storage since it only held the un-assembled glasses, but I was able to find some small boxes large enough to hold each pair safely when not in use.
The clear 3D view wins 5 stars from me. I deducted 2 stars for the issues above.
