Great 3D Experience, February 16, 2009
This review is from: Samsung SSG1000X/XAA 3D Kit for Plasma & DLP 1pr.Wireless 3D Glasses, 1Wireless 3D Transmitter (Electronics)
I had look for this glasses for my PN42A450 plasma TV, and let me tell you that it works perfect for play PC games and watch DVD's. The experience it's amazing. The only thing I regret it's that the software it's not loaded on the TV, this means that all the 3D content will be the one running on your PC, It would be nice to be able to watch your blurays on 3D, probably soon, but not at the moment, beside that it's great.

SSG1000 why did they discontinue you., February 7, 2010
This review is from: Samsung SSG1000X/XAA 3D Kit for Plasma & DLP 1pr.Wireless 3D Glasses, 1Wireless 3D Transmitter (Electronics)
Recieved my SSG1000 as a complete package; glasses, emitter and software suite. Simple installation and great performance especially compared to my Nvidia 3D Vision kit. Glasses are clearer / less dark, react faster and accomodate my normal glasses better. As for the software plays movies better, has novel (not realistic but interesting) 2D to 3D conversion, 3D Google Earth, moon, mars, etc, plays many games as good or better than nvidia stereoscopic driver and supports both crossfireX and SLI configurations (tri and quad unlike nvidia 3d!). Further ATI owners can get the iZ3D drivers free and these play all the games that I have which do not have a Tridef DDD profile. Very happy with purchase. Head to head comparisons in the games Avatar,L4D2 and DAO strongly favour the clearer, faster Samsung glasses while the auto-convergance features in the Tridef and iZ3D drivers make the nvidia offering as farcical as their driver / product support in recent months. Conmbined the lighter, clearer picture and less poor convergance double images / ghosting make for a state of art 3D experience.

This review is from: Samsung SSG1000X/XAA 3D Kit for Plasma & DLP 1pr.Wireless 3D Glasses, 1Wireless 3D Transmitter (Electronics)
I played with these for about 4 hours until I finally gave up, put them back in the box and returned them.
During those hours I only could get them to shutter correctly once - for about 10 minutes. The rest of the time they either flickered real quick or slowly changed from one to the other side. I read the manual, asked Samsung, and read through endless pages of online forums, trying to get them to work. I couldn't.
If you already have a 3D ready TV (like a DLP TV, Samsung Plasma, or DLP projector) and a powerful PC to play games in stereoscopic vision, please do yourself the favor and go for the NVIDIA 3D Vision. A friend of mine has them and they work perfectly - every time.
I'm selling my ATI graphics card now and put a NVIDIA in to use the 3D Vision.
Either wait for the 3D TVs coming out later this year, or if you already have a 3D ready TV, go with NVIDIA's solution. Do not buy these.
