5.0 out of 5 stars an absolute bargain for a hard to find item
I tried to find smartmedia cards at Walmart and Radioshak but was told they were being phased out in favor of other media. I was happy to locate the item I was looking for at such a reasonable price and to receive it so quickly (within 1 week).

Purchased what was pictured as a fully Olympus friendly SmartMedia card. By this I mean it supports the slick Panorama feature in my Olympus camera. The Smart Media cards are becoming very scarce and this generic card does the job perfectly. Much cheaper than a brand name card bought at a retail store.

Usualy the digital cameras come with a very small memory. But after I bought this media card everything changed and now I can make a lot more pictures than before without coming back to my computer so often. I's a good buy, go for it

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Product - Fast Delivery, December 9, 2009

I'm so glad to find a new SmartMedia card so that I can use my Olympus camera again. My old cards crapped out on me a while back and at that time I couldn't find anyone selling new cards. I didn't want to buy a used card so I put my camera away for a while. The only memory card I had that worked was the 8Meg card that came with the camera originally.

The new Samsung card reached me quickly and was well packaged. It worked perfectly right out of the box.

2.0 out of 5 stars Misleading Picture, June 6, 2011
This review is from: Samsung SmartMedia 128MB Smart Media Digital Flash Memory Storage Card (Personal Computers)
Purchased what was pictured as a fully Olympus friendly SmartMedia card. By this I mean it supports the slick Panorama feature in my Olympus camera. The picture of the product on the Amazon web screen where I made my purchase showed an Olympus SmartMedia package with bold printing "Supports Panorama Features". What I received was a Samsung SmartMedia card. I have no problem with the quality of this brand, but it does does not support the Panorama feature in the camera. It otherwise works fine. Very disappointed not to have the full capability I was looking for. In re-looking at the web site, the card is described as a Samsung SmartMedia card, but the picture of the product showed an Olympus brand SmartMedia package.

I needed this card for use with a 2001 Roland music synthesizer product in order to expand the User Memory capabilites. I had read that these cards were out of manufacture, so I felt lucky to still be able to get it. I think the price for these units is a bit high, considering the technology is so dated. But this one had the best price for a name-brand product at ~$40. (By way of comparison, for this money, I could buy gigabytes of compact flash memory, e.g., thumb drives).

When I plugged it into the Roland equipment it worked perfectly and it accepted the Roland formatting procedures without a hitch. So I was happy! I also bought a +D memory adaptor just in case I could get away with using a larger storage area with the Roland unit. This adaptor allows a +D memory cell to be plugged into the SmartMedia interface of the Roland. I haven't tried this out yet, but the more reliable +D memory also comes much larger densities... into the gigabytes.

My understanding is that the downside of the smartmedia memory technonlgy is that there is no memory-cell redundancy for the purpose of wear-leveling as cells age and drop out. This is the main advantage of the newer compact flash memory technolgy.

Great service and fast shipping. I am very happy with my purchase as I have a Yamaha keyboard that needs this type of memory media. This was by far the best deal. Shop with confidence!

Well I've been using this card, as well as another identical card, in a 4 track digital recorder. no errors or problems to date. Have been using them for maybe a year?? They get erased and reformatted about once a week.

I use this to write sequences for my Korg Triton LE 61 keyboard. It is responsive and reads/writes data flawlessly. I plan on buying more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Memory Storage Card, December 15, 2010

This Samsung SmartMedia 128MB Digital Flash Memory Storage Card actually worked better than the original card that was included with my Olympus D-380 digital camera. Although the camera's instructions say to use a 4 or 8 MB card this one was much superior and not only provided more storage space but also my pictures look clearer and more true to life. This is a highly recommended purchase.Samsung SmartMedia 128MB Smart Media Digital Flash Memory Storage Card
