I had looked at many LCD monitors before deciding to purchase the Samsung SyncMaster monitor. Many of them just do not have a good picture. They were not as clear as I am used to with the CRT monitors. I am totally pleased with this one. The colors are beautiful. The picture is just what I want. They are adjustable to each person's needs. It was a little bright, but it was very easy to adjust. I definitely recommend it.

I purchased this monitor after the recent Hurricane Rita. I write software and needed a monitor to fit on a small desk. I am able to run the monitor at 1024x768 @ 75hz (refresh rate*). The monitor was very hazy at 1280x1024 @ 75hz. The monitor has easy to use controls and does not heat up more than 85F, this is important if you decide to buy two or more for a dual display soltion, that most programmers use.
*Do not run this monitor at a lower refresh rate. Adjust display properties to 75hz in Windows. I found my eyes got very tired using 60hz, the windows default.

It saves me desk top space and the picture is about as clear as my 8 year old monitor. So , I guess it's OK.
