I couldn't believe how lightweight this monitor is, and how easy it was to connect to my computer. It is one of the best investments I have made this year. What a difference the LCD screen makes for my vision. Its wonderful. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone who is looking for something easy to connect and have excellent quality as well. It is the perfect monitor for me!

I had a 17 inch dell monitor and it quit on me. I was looking for something similar to replace it with. The 720n fit the bill. The picture is crisp and clear. The colors are outstanding, and the price can't be beat.I am very happy with my purchase and will continue to shop at Amazon.

Sharp and crisp - I love it! Highly recommend it.

I bought this monitor to replace a Dell monitor that died. The price is good and the image is clear (probably better than the Dell it replaced). My only complaint is that the brightness, contrast, etc. buttons are small with black on black images, and they're hard to read. This is not a giant problem, since I set them once and haven't needed them since.

This is absolutely a quality 17" color monitor and a great value (about USD 150 after rebate).

I've owned this monitor for almost two years and never thought to do a review of it. What brought doing a review to mind was that the monitor developed a problem. In fact, the problem is very similar to what another reviewer encountered, which led to him giving the unit a low rating.

I give this unit 5 stars not only for its inherent quality, but for Samsung's extraordinary warranty and service.

Imagine my surprise when I was reminded this unit carries a three year warranty. And getting service is no hassle: just fill in a form on Samsung's web site and they ship a replacement unit free to the nearest UPS store. If you don't have one nearby, you pay shipping for the return of your unit. Not a bad deal at all in my case, considering that I've happily used the unit for 18 months before encountering a problem.

The monitor delivers a very sharp image with vibrant color. I adjusted in once when I set it up and have had no need to readjust it.

I had to substitute an HP monitor for the Samsung while waiting for a replacement and I was surprised at how much sharper and vibrant the Samsung screen is. A very observable difference.

The Samsung monitor is a terriffic value - and Samsung most certainly supports its product and makes warranty service a breeze.

This is the worst monitor you can buy. I made the mistake of buying one about 6 months ago and its already quitting on me, for example the Brightness is always all the way up and when i turn it down it goes back up. In addition to this the resolution absolutely sucks!!! and the monitor it self is blurry and not clear. My advise to you it don't buy it, there is a lot better monitors out there for a better or equal price.

After a few months of having this monitor the auto adjust kept going off on it's own randomly and had to prop the button to get it to stop and then that stopped working and now a "auto adjust locked" message comes up so I'm buying a new monitor and not a samsung this time!

I chose a Samsung LCD monitor because my Samsung picture tube monitor looked great. I was in for a shock, though. The picture on the LCD was so horrible, it was basically unusable. Adjusting the settings did not help. Black and white images had an obvious pink tint to them. The screen also had uneven brightness at different viewing angles. Colors shift depending upon your seating position. Yellows used to highlight database selections could not even be displayed! They showed up as white, like the background. (They show up fine on my picture tube monitor.) I returned the LCD monitor immediately for a refund. I would have given it 0 stars if I could.

I also returned a Sony LCD monitor for nearly identical problems.

Bring back the picture tube (CRT). CRT monitors look much better than LCDs.

After 6 months of using the monitor it started to develop problems. The adjustment buttons on the front of the monitor are randomly going off. It is still under warranty, but the closest repair center is 400 miles away and I have to pay for the shipping both ways! It still works, but the buttons going off by themselves are very annoying because a menu screen is always popping up.
